An exemplary sewing machine includes a sewing head, a needle bar holding a needle, a motor for moving the needle during a sewing operation, a user interface, a data gathering device, a data storage device, and a processor. The data gathering device gathers data related to at least one of the sewing machine, an environment surrounding the sewing machine, a sewing material, the sewing operation performed by the sewing machine, and one or more interactions of a user with the sewing machine. The data storage device stores gathered data and data related to a neural network. The processor processes the gathered data through the neural network to generate processed data. Based on the processed data, the processor controls at least one of the user interface, the data storage device, and the motor.

An automotive power electronics assembly, including: a cover plate, a cooling pipe received in a groove extending along a first surface of the cover plate, a plurality of metallic heat sink bodies provided on a second, opposite surface of the cover plate wherein first end faces of the hear sink bodies are in heat conducting contact with the cover plate, each heat sink body carrying on a side surface at least one semiconductor component to be cooled, and a printed circuit board providing electronic contacts to the semiconductor components, where the printed circuit board is in contact with second end faces of the heat sink bodies. Each heat sink body tapers from the first end face to the second end face such that the contact area with the cover plate is larger than the contact area with the printed circuit board.

A connecting device and a method for assembling a cable to a bracket are provided. The connecting device includes an outer body arranged circumferentially around the cable, the outer body being divided into a first portion with a substantially constant cross section and a second portion including a plurality of snap arms extending radially outwardly from a point of attachment with the first portion. The cable can be a transmission cable used in a vehicle, where the connecting device is configured to be received in an opening of the bracket, in order to anchor the cable to the vehicle body. The connecting device and cable can be received in any orientation relative to the bracket, where the snap arms are arranged in a continuous manner around the cable.
