A hair coloring composition that includes about 5 to 25 wt. % of a first monosaccharide having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, up to about 10 wt. % of a second monosaccharide having 2 to 4 carbon atoms, about 0.1 to 5 wt. % of a surfactant, and about 0.1 to 5 wt. % of a delivery agent, each based on a total weight of the hair coloring composition. A method for coloring hair, that involves applying the hair coloring composition onto the hair, and optionally applying heat to the hair at a dyeing temperature of 30 to 205° C.

A hair conditioner which provides hair conditioning, de-tangling, frizz control and reduced flyaway benefits, without weighing down hair or loosing hair volume, in a clear composition, is disclosed. The composition utilizes a combination of high levels of PEG/PPG silicone surfactants together with cationic polymeric thickeners (such as polyquaternium-37) to provide those benefits.

Clear hair conditioner composition

The present application discloses hair conditioning compositions which provide effective hair conditioning, particularly to wavy or curly hair, the conditioning benefit lasting in the hair over several (up to 10) subsequent shampooings. The compositions comprise a film-forming polyester that is the reaction product of at least one diol, at least one polyol, and at least one dicarboxylic acid; polyquaternium-52 and/or polyquaternium-37; and at least one amino or aminopropyl-functional silicone, in an aqueous vehicle. The composition may additionally include dimethicone and/or a branched-chain ester. The method of conditioning hair using the defined compositions is also disclosed.

Hair conditioner for wavy and curly hair

Rinse-off of the volumizing compositions, having an acidic pH, and in the form of a lotion, gel or cream are disclosed. The compositions include one or more linear hairstyling polymers which exhibit polar behavior in acidic pH, such as polyvinylpyrrolidone, together with a selected group of polycationic hairstyling polymers, such as polyquaternium-37. The compositions not only provide a strong hair volumizing effect, but that effect is durable, being retained after two or more shampooing operations of the hair. The compositions are used by applying an effective amount to wet hair, leaving the composition for at least about three minutes, and rinsing the composition out of the hair.

Rinse-off volumizing hair compositions containing styling polymers and polycationic polymers

Compositions for providing hair care benefits, such as smoothing, anti-static control, color protection, frizz control and moisturization are disclosed. The compositions maintain clarity, show no separation upon standing, and remain flowable liquids at room temperature. The compositions comprise a premix consisting essentially of (a) siloxane polymers containing one or more functional groups selected from amino, phenyl, methoxy, hydroxyl, fatty alcohol, fatty acid, alkyl and combinations thereof; and (b) materials selected from dimethicones having a viscosity of from about 20 to about 10,000 centipoise, mono-esters containing 20 or fewer carbon atoms, ethers containing 20 or fewer carbon atoms, linear or branched hydrocarbons containing 12 to 20 carbon atoms, and combinations thereof. The compositions can be applied directly to hair (i.e., 'neat') or via conventional hair treatment compositions, such as shampoos or conditioners.

Hair conditioning compositions

Hair care products for providing long-lasting conditioning, moisturizing, split end repair, body, volume, shine and increased hair strength benefits are disclosed. The products can be in the form of shampoos, conditioners, serums or oils, and comprise a compatible hair care carrier together with an unsaturated oil having an iodine value of at least about 80, and wherein the oil is selected from glycerol triesters of fatty acids wherein the fatty acids have a composition selected from: The method of conditioning hair using the defined products is also disclosed.

Hair care products containing conjugated unsaturated oils

Volumizing compositions, including shampoos, which provide volume, body, fullness, movement and/or stylability benefits to the hair are disclosed. The compositions contain a waxy material selected from natural waxes of animal or plant origin, alkyl-modified dimethicones, copolymers of vinyl pyrrolidone and long chain alpha-olefins, synthetic wax/highly branched polyalpha olefin polymers and mixtures thereof. The compositions are substantially free of materials which form an oily coating on the hair, such as dimethicone gums, oils, triglycerides, petrolatums, unsaturated fatty acids, oils, C-Cmono-long chain alkyl quaternary ammonium materials, and combinations of those materials. Shampoo compositions and the method of providing volume to the hair, utilizing the defined waxy materials, are also disclosed.
