A formula delivery appliance generally includes a formula delivery head having features to mix, direct, and distribute formulation through nozzles to a desired location, such as the hair or scalp of a user. In this regard, the formula delivery head may include a plurality of nozzles configured to discharge the formulation at a desired flow rate. In some instances, the flow rate across the plurality of nozzles is controlled such that each nozzle has a flow rate within a specified percentage of the average flow rate across the plurality of nozzles.

Formula delivery head

Hair coloring appliances include an elongate handle and a consumable assembly removably couplable to the handle. The consumable assembly has a manifold chamber with a fluid inlet in selective fluid communication with a first formulation fluid source, a plurality of outlet nozzles configured to discharge a first formulation from the manifold chamber, and a distribution protrusion extending into the manifold chamber and configured to direct the flow of the first formulation from the fluid inlet to each of the plurality of outlet nozzles.

Formula delivery appliance

A formula delivery system can be used in conjunction with hair and scalp treatment appliances to supply a hair treatment formulation to the appliance. In one aspect, the formula delivery system delivers hair coloring formulation to the appliance. Formula delivery systems of the present disclosure generally include at least one fluid container configured to retain a volume of formulation for delivery of the formulation to a hair coloring appliance. In this regard, the formula delivery system may be configured to removably couple to an inlet member of the appliance that allows the appliance to draw the formulation from the fluid container for use within the appliance.

Formula delivery device

A formula delivery appliance can be used for treatment of the hair and scalp, such as an appliance used to color hair. The appliance may include a consumable assembly incorporating various components of the hair and scalp treatment appliance, a portion of which may be consumed and then replaced by a user. In this regard, the consumable assembly may include one or more formulation delivery packets, nozzles, manifold chambers, distribution protrusions, and the like. The hair treatment appliance may also include a rotatable coupling having a driven gear and a drive gear, where the driven gear may selectively engage the drive gear. In another aspect, the hair treatment appliance may also include a fluid container to retain a volume of formulation for delivery to the appliance.

A pump assembly for a pump assembly for a dispenser container comprises a cap having a housing and a spout and a collar having a stop member. A sleeve is at least partially positioned within the collar and comprises a sleeve chamber. A plurality of resilient members are housed within the sleeve chamber. Compression of the cap causes compression of the plurality of resilient members and engagement of the cap with the stop member of the collar. The cap, the collar, the sleeve, the at least one valve, and the plurality of resilient members are comprised of a same type of recyclable material.

Eco pump assembly

A drive shaft coupling is provided, such as a coupling used with a formula delivery appliance. The drive shaft coupling generally includes a drive gear and a driven gear, with one of the drive gear and driven gear having a biasing member to allow axial translation. The drive shaft coupling is generally configured to transfer rotation from the drive gear to the driven gear. In one aspect, the drive shaft coupling is capable of alignment and coupling of the drive gear and driven gear upon the radial sliding of the coupling from a non-engagement position to an engagement position.

A handheld diagnostic instrument includes a handle and an instrument head associated with the handle. An innerformer is disposed in an inner cavity of the instrument head in which the instrument head further includes a tab holder. A cushion member is disposed within the housing between the innerformer and the interior of the instrument head. Further, a lens is attached to the instrument head, the lens including a lens tab. A seal is formed between the lens and the innerformer when the lens tab is engaged with the tab holder wherein the cushion member acts to bias the innerformer to maintain the defined seal.

Medical diagnostic instrument

A thermometry apparatus includes a distal probe tip having a hollow interior. An insulating support is at least partially disposed within the interior of the distal probe tip. The insulating support is configured to receive at least one of at least one heating element and at least one temperature sensing element. According to one version, the insulating support is a flexible circuit strip configured to receive the at least one heating element(s) to protect the leads from damage and premature breakage.

A system for storing data collected by a body-worn sensor includes a central processing unit (CPU) that is configured to control operation of a gateway device; and one or more computer readable data storage media storing software instructions that, when executed by the CPU, cause the gateway device to: receive a MAC address of a new sensor and a protocol version associated with the new sensor from a server; attempt to contact the new sensor using the protocol version and the MAC address; when a response is received, send the response to the server for validation; when the response is validated by the server, establish communications with the new sensor; and forward data from the new sensor to a second server.

A pulse oximeter includes a housing defined by at least a first housing portion and a second housing portion wherein the second portion includes a passage. A sensor module disposed in the housing and proximate the passage includes at least one light emitting diode and at least one photodetector. A processing module also disposed in the housing and configured to communicate with the sensor module includes at least a processor, a network interface, and a power supply. The pulse oximeter further includes a pad having at least a bottom surface and a pad passage, as well as an adhesive configured to be disposed on at least a portion of the bottom surface of the pad. The housing is configured to releasably engage the pad wherein the housing passage and the pad passage are substantially aligned with one another.
