Examples relate to systems, devices, and methods utilizing means for securing a protruding portion of a fluid permeable body disposed between a wearer's labia in position during use. The protruding portion is formed from fluid permeable material that allows urine or other fluids to pass therethrough. The fluid permeable body is disposed at least partially within a fluid impermeable barrier to prevent leakage of the fluid. The fluid is removed through a conduit disposed in a chamber within the fluid impermeable barrier.

Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to fluid collection assemblies including a fluid impermeable barrier having a sump and a base. An example fluid collection assembly includes a fluid impermeable barrier. The fluid impermeable barrier includes a sump and a base. For example, the sump may protrude outwardly from the base. The sump defines an opening and a chamber. The fluid collection assembly may include at least one porous material disposed in the chamber that at least partially covers the opening, such as a fluid permeable membrane extending across at least a portion of the opening and a support disposed in the chamber. The fluid collection assembly may also include an adhesive layer disposed on the base that is configured to secure the rest of the fluid collection assembly to at least a portion of a pubic region of an individual. Further, the fluid collection assembly may include a fluid outlet.

A delivery device for delivering a medical fluid to a patient has a housing configured for receiving a container at least partially filled with the medical fluid. The delivery device further has a drive mechanism associated with the housing configured for delivering the medical fluid from the container to the patient in a dosing procedure. The delivery device further has a module configured for detecting at least one of a property of the dosing procedure and a property of the medical fluid. The module has at least one dose detection sensor configured for detecting an initiation, progression, and completion of the dosing procedure based on a position of a stopper within the container. The module further has at least one temperature sensor configured for measuring a temperature of the medical fluid within the container based on a temperature of the container.

An example urine suction device suitable for extracting urine from a urine collection device is disclosed. The suction device can include a housing, a motor disposed within the housing, a pump driven by the motor, an inlet, a speaker, and a controller. The pump can extract urine from a urine collection device. The speaker can be disposed within the housing or external to the housing. The speaker can be oriented as to attenuate noise generated by the pump, the motor, or other components of the urine suction device. The controller can cause the speaker to emit one or more first acoustic waves that at least partially attenuates one or more second acoustic waves generated by at least one of the pump or motor.

Methods and systems for determination of flow parameters of administered fluid from a radioembolization delivery device may include translationally moving a device delivery arm of the radioembolization delivery device in a translational direction, wherein the device delivery arm is coupled to a syringe holder such that move in the translational direction one of proximally or distally advances the syringe holder; sensing, via one or more pattern sensors, a corresponding movement of a pattern associated with the translational device delivery arm movement as a sensed pattern movement; generating, via the one or more pattern sensors, one or more output signals based on the sensed pattern movement; and generating, via a processor, a flow rate of the administered fluid, a flow amount of the administered fluid, and/or the translational direction of movement of the device delivery arm with respect to the syringe holder based on the one or more output signals.

Systems and methods for determining flow parameters of administered fluid from radioembolization delivery device

An injection monitoring device includes a syringe having a barrel configured to contain a medicament and a plunger configured to be displaced linearly into the interior of the barrel to dispense the medicament, a flange positioned between a proximal end and a distal end of the injection monitoring device and configured to be gripped during performance of the injection, and one or more force sensors positioned to detect data associated with an amount of force applied to the injection monitoring device during performance of an injection.

Electronic modules for a syringe

A controlled delivery syringe device includes a syringe barrel having a proximal end and distal end which defines a chamber for containing an injectable material. A plunger rod is associated with the syringe barrel and a plunger is secured thereto which is axially movable within the syringe barrel. A plurality of equally and sequentially spaced periodic features are associated with the plunger rod and a counter member is engageable with the periodic features. Application of a distally directed force to the plunger rod results in disengagement and reengagement of the counter member with the sequentially spaced periodic features on the plunger rod, enabling advancement of the plunger rod and plunger in the syringe barrel while providing tactile feedback of dose progression of the injectable material. A method of retrofitting a syringe with a device for injecting a metered dose of injectable material is also provided.

A system for assisting patients in sorting and dispensing medication supplies comprises a storage tray having a number of storage compartments, and a communication system to identify a medication to be provided from a pill bottle and, based upon the identification and a known regime, automatically identify which compartments of the storage tray are to be filled with the identified medication from the pill bottle and perform the filling of the storage tray. In doing so, a patient can simply open and present any number of pill bottles to the system, and then allow the system to arrange the medication in the storage tray according to the known regimen. The regimen and regimen updates are communicated to the system by means of a wired or wireless transmission to the system from a remote location (e.g. pharmacy or doctor's office), by direct user input, or by reading such information from a barcode or similar information carrier affixed to the pill bottles.

Described herein is a programmable portable infusion device. The infusion device may include electronics such as sensors, and can be programmed to detect parameters related to the proper administration of infusion. If the sensors detect that a parameter is outside of a defined boundary or range, the infusion device may notify a user that it may not be safe to administer infusion and may prevent infusion from occurring.

Described herein is a smart module configured to work with injection devices. The smart module may include electronics such as sensors and indicators, and be programmed to detect environmental parameters. If the sensors detect that a parameter is outside of a predetermined boundary or range, then the indicators may be activated to notify the user that the injection device may not be safe for administering medicine.
