A method for accessing a wireless channel by a device () that intends to transmit data, wherein access to channel is controlled by a wireless channel controller (), the method comprising: registering the device () at the wireless channel controller () as an authorized device; synchronizing () a timer of the device () indicating time windows; determining () a designated time window during which the device () can transmit data; performing () a clear channel assessment procedure during the preceding time window such that the clear channel assessment ends at the end of the time window preceding the designated time window; and beginning transmission () of data at the beginning of the designated time window.

Method and a system for accessing a wireless channel in a dense environment

A system for balancing an input device, the system comprising: a spherical device having an outer spherical wall and an inner spherical wall the system further comprising: an internal circuitry module housing internal circuits and positioned in the center of the spherical device and balanced in the center in order hold the spherical device still on a flat surface; a cavity formed between the outer spherical wall and the inner spherical wall; a rheological fluid disposed in the cavity wherein the volume of the rheological fluid is below 50% of the volume of the cavity and such that the weight of the rheological fluid is above the weight of the spherical device without the rheological fluid; wherein al least one of the outer spherical wall and the inner spherical wall comprises a rheological fluid activation means configured to change the state of the rheological fluid; and a rheological fluid activation controller configured to control the rheological fluid activation means in response to occurrence of a predefined condition so that the spherical device may switch between a free rolling state and a fixed state.

System and method for balancing an input device

A device for monitoring a signal, comprising: a combiner () configured to combine the received signal to be monitored with an impairment signal; a signal spectrum analyzer () configured to analyze spectrum of a signal output from the combiner () upon receiving a trigger signal; a signal quality analyzer () configured to analyze the signal output from the combiner and output a signal quality factor; a trigger generator () configured to monitor the signal quality factor and output the trigger signal upon detecting the signal quality factor below a trigger threshold level; and an impairment simulator () configured to generate the impairment signal and an impairment scaler () configured to scale the impairment signal and input the scaled impairment signal to the combiner ().
