The present invention relates generally to a tire pressure and temperature measuring system. More specifically, the system is comprised of an ergonomic and durable tire pressure and temperature gauge that does not require any external buttons, displays, or indicia, and that is capable of measuring the internal pressure and air temperature of a tire. The system is further comprised of an accompanying mobile application or computer-based software program that allows the collected pressure and/or temperature data to be wirelessly transmitted and formatted into a report that is accessible via a user interface on a remote device. The system is also capable of making recommendations to the user based on the collected pressure and/or temperature data.

Pressure and temperature measuring system

An electrical connector () has a body () with a shorting clip () mounted at a distal end () of the body (). The clip () axially extends into a cavity () of the body and normally shorts two electrical male terminals () housed within the body ().

Enhanced shorting clip

An electrical connector has a connect or shroud. A pin block disposed in the connector body supports a plurality of terminal pins that have head portions projecting out a forward end of the pin block and tail portions projecting out a rearward end of the pin block. The connector shroud has a socket at a forward end that receives a terminal stabilizer that is locked to the pin block to hold the terminal stabilizer and the pin block in assembly with the connector shroud to form a module. The module may include a block seal that can be sandwiched between the terminal stabilizer and the pin block during assembly of the module. The rear end of the connector shroud is truncated at an angle for a direct top down assembly of the module to a housing that has an attachment collar that is truncated at the same angle. The pin terminal tail portions are bent at a right angle and project through holes in a pin alignment member and a printed circuit board that are mounted inside the housing.

Electrical connector

An electrical connection position assurance system that includes a pair of electrically connected contacts ( ) affixed on a pivotably mounted arm ( ). Electrical connector position assurance device

An electrical connector comprises a plug connector body that has a pair of metal terminals disposed within a pair of laterally disposed terminal cavities and a unitary metal shorting clip disposed within a shorting clip cavity. The unitary metal shorting clip has a single, generally V-shaped cantilevered spring arm at one end that contacts the pair of metal terminals when the electrical connector is disconnected from a mating electrical connector. The shorting clip is retained within the plug connector body by a mounting portion engaging a support shelf within the shorting clip cavity. The support shelf includes a clip rest which pre-loads the shorting clip and limits the spring force of the spring arm which is lifted off the terminals by a cam of the mating electrical connector.

Direct insertion shorting clip

A terminal retention feature for retaining a terminal pin in a terminal block is disclosed. The retention feature includes an arrowhead shape having barbs thereon. The barbs are tapered on the front side to reduce insertion forces and eliminate deformation of the terminal block. The retention feature provides reduced insertion forces while enabling high retention forces preventing pull out of the terminal pin.
