A method of operating a localization array. The method includes providing the localization array in substantially an optimal position. The method also includes maintaining the localization array at substantially the optimal position by controlling movement of the localization array.

A method may include imaging, using an imaging system, a position of one or more markers integrated with a localization array in a treatment room and transforming the position of the one or more markers to a treatment room coordinate system. The method also includes determining the position of the localization array in the treatment room coordinate system based on the transforming.

Systems, methods, and related computer program products for image-guided radiation treatment (IGRT) are described. For one preferred embodiment, an IGRT apparatus is provided comprising a gantry frame including a ring member, the ring member being rotatable around a substantially horizontal, longitudinally extending central axis, the ring member having first and second horizontally opposing ends. The IGRT apparatus further comprises a radiation treatment head coupled to the ring member by an arm member, the arm member being connected to the ring member at an arm member base. Preferably, the IGRT apparatus is further characterized in that the arm member extends outwardly from the first end of the ring member in a direction away from the second end and is supported only by the arm member base, and the radiation treatment head is dynamically movable in at least a longitudinal direction toward and away from the first end of the ring member.

A treatment couch having a tabletop that has a radiolucent region, and a lower-torso assembly that has a first slide member coupled to a slot of the tabletop, a second slide member coupled to a slot of the first slide member, and a link member coupled to the first and second slide members. The lower-torso assembly may be configured to adjust a patient along a longitudinal direction relative to a shoulder line of the tabletop while the lower-torso assembly remains outside the radio lucent region of the tabletop.

The invention provides a hot plate oven suitable to bake materials on substrates such as flat panel displays and large semiconductor wafers such as 300 mm in diameter and above. The hot plate oven in one embodiment includes an insulated chamber, a heater in the chamber, a door for entry of a substrate, a frame, preferably water cooled, for suspending the substrate above the heater, a substrate lowering mechanism to hold the frame and lower the substrate to a certain height above the heater at least one fluid cooled pin to counteract sag when the substrate is heated, and a set of manifolds and valves to feed and exhaust gases, vapors, and apply a vacuum to the chamber. In another feature, the oven assembly includes a stack of low profile ovens, each having a door on the side for entry of a substrate.
