A method for manufacturing a gun barrel with a cold spray process. The method includes the use of a mandrel having a tubular body and being made of a material with properties suited to use with gun barrel manufacture and materials and cold spray processes. The gun barrel includes a liner, one or more structural layers and an outer jacket. The mandrel is dissolved in a chemical process during manufacture of the gun barrel.

Cold spray and WAAM methods for manufacturing gun barrels

A weapon may include a translatable recoil mass and two translatable counterweights disposed on opposite sides of the recoil mass. Each counterweight may have a mass that is substantially one-half a mass of the recoil mass. A pair of racks may be fixed to respective ones of the counterweights and a second pair of racks may be fixed to opposites sides of the recoil mass. Pinions may engage the counterweight and recoil mass racks. A receiver may be fixed with respect to the recoil mass and the pair of counterweights. The directions of translation of the recoil mass are substantially opposite directions of translation of the two counterweights.

A feed disengage mechanism for a weapon with a sprocket-type feed system may include a sprocket rotatably fixed to the receiver. A forward pawl may be selectably engageable with a forward end of the sprocket. The forward pawl may include a flange and be biased for engagement with the sprocket. An anti-backup pawl may be selectably engageable with a rear end of the sprocket. The anti-backup pawl may include a cam path and be biased for engagement with the sprocket. A feed cover may include a feed slide assembly that may be translatable in a slot in the feed cover. The feed slide assembly may include a front pin engageable with the flange of the forward pawl and a rear pin engageable with the cam path of the anti-backup pawl.

Single-action feed disengage mechanism for weapon

A fire control mechanism provides semi-automatic, burst, fully automatic, and safe modes for a firearm. The fire control mechanism includes first, second and third shafts. A hammer is rotatably mounted on the first shaft and biased for rotation about the first shaft in a first direction. An auto sear is mounted on the second shaft and engageable with the hammer. A semi disconnect is mounted on the second shaft and engageable with the hammer. A primary sear is mounted on the third shaft and engageable with the hammer.
