Apparatus for installing a screen protector on an electronic device

An apparatus is provided for assisting in affixing a screen protector to a display of an electronic device. The apparatus includes a base including a platform configured to support the electronic device. The apparatus includes a lid configured to cover at least a portion of the base and the supported electronic device, the lid including an aperture. The apparatus includes a gantry including a roller configured to contact a screen protector through the aperture in the lid. The gantry is movable with respect to the lid and configured to affix the screen protector to the supported electronic device when the gantry moves from a first position to the second position.

A multi-function controller mount is configured or adapted for use with a game controller and an electronic device. The mount includes a controller receiver for removably attaching to the game controller with a retention strap. The mount also includes an arm having a first end pivotably attached to the controller receiver at a first pivot axis. The apparatus includes a base having a platform for supporting the electronic device, a lid attached to the base, and a positioning mechanism for aligning the electronic device on the platform. The positioning mechanism includes a first positioning jaw movable between a first and a second position. The positioning jaw includes a first surface configured to contact the first corner of the electronic device and a second surface configured to contact the second corner of the electronic device when the first positioning jaw moves from the first position to the second position. Moving the lid from a first position to a second position at least partially covering the electronic device moves the first positioning jaw from the first position to the second position.

A protective enclosure includes a structural member, a metallic tab, and a flexible member. The structural member is configured for receiving an electronic device and includes a front opening for accessing a touchscreen of the installed electronic device. The metallic tab is affixed to one of the side portions of the structural member. The flexible member has a front panel connected to a back panel by a hinge portion that is positioned adjacent to a side portion of the structural member opposite the metallic tab. The hinge portion is configured to enable movement of the front panel between a closed position and an opened position. The front panel includes a magnetic element affixed to an edge of the front panel such that the magnetic element of the front panel contacts the metallic tab when the front panel is in both the opened and closed positions.

A protective case for an electronic device includes a structural member, a cushioning member, and a flexible member. The structural member and cushioning member are overmolded to cover the installed electronic device. The flexible member has a first panel connected to the back portion of the structural member and a second panel connected to the first panel by a hinge section. The second panel of the flexible member has a magnet that is configured to connect with a metallic tab that is adhered to the side of the structural member. The metallic tab is configured to allow the first panel of the flexible member to connect with the metallic tab in a closed position that covers the touchscreen of the electronic device and in an open position when the first panel of the flexible member is folded away from the touchscreen and covering the back of the protective case.
