A surgical instrument is provided that includes a first member defining a longitudinal axis and including a first mating surface engageable with a second mating surface of a fastener. A second member includes an expandable portion. A third member is engageable with the expandable portion to releasably capture the fastener. A first lever is connected to the first member, and a second lever is connected with the first lever via a pivot. The levers being rotatable relative to the longitudinal axis between a non-locked orientation and a locked orientation such that the pivot is rotatable past axial alignment to fix position of the first member relative to the fastener. Systems, spinal constructs, implants and methods are disclosed.

Surgical instrument and method

Systems and methods for predicting surgical outcomes are provided. A surgical plan comprising information about a planned surgery and at least one preoperative image depicting a planned surgical result and at least one postoperative image depicting an actual surgical result resulting from execution of the planned surgery may be received. The postoperative image may be registered to the preoperative image. One or more features may be automatically identified in each of the postoperative image and the preoperative image. A difference may be automatically measured in at least one parameter of each of the one or more features to yield training data. A function for predicting the difference may be generated using artificial intelligence and based on the training data. The function may be applied to an unexecuted surgical plan.

Systems and methods for predicting surgical outcomes

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for graft delivery with accurate dispensing. For example, a device for delivering graft material to a target site includes an actuation mechanism and a tube. The tube defines a lumen and an open end and is configured to receive graft material through the open end. The tube includes a pressure relief opening and a dosage window. The pressure relief opening is disposed in a wall of the tube, defining a pressure chamber between the open end and the pressure relief opening. The device further includes a plunger positioned within the lumen of the tube and coupled to the actuation mechanism such that at least a portion of the plunger (or the actuation mechanism) is visible through the dosage window. The actuation mechanism is configured to advance the plunger toward the open end to deliver graft material through the open end.

A surgical instrument comprises a first member including a drive engageable with a first mating surface of a bone fastener. A second member is rotatable relative to the first member and includes an element engageable with a second mating surface of the bone fastener. Spinal implant system and method

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for a robotic arm guide used as a depth stop. For example, a system for positioning a surgical tool includes a surgical robotic system having a robot arm with a guide sleeve, the guide sleeve defining axial and lateral directions. The system is further configured to (i) receive a surgical plan associated with a subject, the surgical plan including three-dimensional preoperative data related to the subject, (ii) determine, based on the surgical plan, a desired trajectory of a distal end of the surgical tool as the surgical tool is inserted into the guide sleeve, and (iii) transmit one or more control signals to the surgical robotic system, causing the surgical robotic system to orient and position the guide sleeve such that the distal end of the surgical tool follows the desired trajectory when the surgical tool is inserted in the guide sleeve.

In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a monolithic percutaneous-screw system for use in spinal surgery. The system includes (i) a receiver having a distal base and a pair of opposing arms extending proximally from the base, a pair of opposing distal breakoff sections, each connected monolithically to a proximal end of a corresponding one of the arms, (ii) a pair of opposing proximal breakoff sections, (iii) a pair of opposing intermediate extenders, each extending from a distal end, connected monolithically to a corresponding one of the distal breakoff sections, to a proximal end connected monolithically to a corresponding one of the proximal breakoff section, and (iv) a guide cap connected monolithically to both of the proximal breakoff sections.

A surgical instrument comprises an outer sleeve including an inner surface that defines a cavity. An inner shaft is fixed with the outer sleeve and extending within the cavity. The inner shaft includes a drive engageable with a first mating surface of a bone fastener. An inner sleeve is disposed between the inner shaft and the outer sleeve. The inner sleeve is rotatable relative to the outer sleeve and includes an element connectable with a second mating surface of the bone fastener. Systems, spinal implants and methods are disclosed.

A spinal implant comprises a proximal member including a body having a first diameter and a head having a second diameter. The body includes an outer surface disposed for non-fixation with a superior facet of a vertebra, and the second diameter being greater than the first diameter. The spinal implant comprises a distal member having a third diameter and being configured for fixation with an inferior facet of an adjacent vertebra. A spinal correction apparatus comprises a body. A ratchet is disposed with the body. A longitudinal element is connected to the ratchet. A force is applied to at least a portion of the apparatus that causes dynamic incremental movement of the longitudinal element relative to the body in at least one direction.
