Systems, methods, and devices for sacroiliac joint fusion described include an implant comprising a first body having a distal anchor and a second body having proximal anchor. The first body includes a threaded body integrally formed with the first body or threadably coupled to the first body. The distal anchor may be formed by a pair of deployable wings. The pair of deployable wings may be deployed within the cancellous bone of the sacrum and anchored against the cortical bone of the sacrum. The proximal anchor may engage with an outer surface of the ilium. The second body may be threaded along the threaded body to provide compression across the sacroiliac joint. Compressing the sacroiliac joint can reduce motion thereof to promote fusion and stabilization.

Sacroiliac joint fusion implants, insertion instruments, and methods

Systems, methods, and devices for sacroiliac (SI) joint fusion are described. At least one posterior SI implant and at least one lateral SI implant may be implanted. The posterior SI implant may be placed in the intra-articular region, and the lateral SI implant may transfix the SI joint such that the lateral SI implant passes through the ilium, across the SI joint, and into the sacrum. The lateral SI implant may compress the SI joint. The lateral SI implant may be inserted through a window in the posterior SI implant to interlock the two implants.

Systems, methods, and devices for lateral and posterior sacroiliac joint fusion

A disposable insertion instrument for inserting an implant includes a handle assembly, a drive assembly, and a plunger assembly. The drive assembly comprises an inner shaft and a spring received within an outer sleeve. A locking pin and drive lobes on the inner shaft cooperate to reversibly lock the drive assembly in a retracted position. A medical implant may be attached to the instrument via an adapter located at a distal end of the drive assembly. Following use for insertion of the medical implant into a patient, the disposable insertion instrument may be discarded.

Disposable interspinous implant insertion instrument

A system and method for providing a spinal implant having a main body, a proximal anchor, a distal anchor, and an internal plunger. The proximal anchor comprises a nut having an internal bore. The distal anchor comprises a plurality of wings having a first closed configuration and a second open configuration. The internal plunger is housed within a central bore of the main body. The distal end of the internal plunger is operatively connected to the first wing and the second wing to selectively move the wings between the first closed configuration and the second open configuration, and vice versa.

Interspinous process implant

A system and method for providing a surgical instrument having a shaft with a proximal end, a distal end, a longitudinal axis, and a central lumen extending therethrough; and a tapered head at the distal end. The tapered head has a plurality of longitudinal channels, a plurality of threaded sections, and a plurality of lateral lumens. The plurality of longitudinal channels may form a plurality of flutes configured to cut bone, tissue, or both.

Combined bone tap and rasp

Systems, devices, and methods for stabilization of bones and/or joints are disclosed. A medical implant may be inserted into a treatment site, such as an interspinous process space. The implant may have an outer body, an inner body coupled to the outer body, distal wings coupled to the inner body, proximal wings coupled to the outer body, and a threaded screw coupled to the inner body and outer body. The threaded screw may be configured to couple to a driver head of an insertion tool and the outer body may be configured to couple to an attachment member of an insertion tool. Actuating the insertion tool may actuate the threaded screw to thereby transition the proximal wings and the distal wings from a closed configuration to a deployed configuration, and from a deployed configuration to a clamped configuration.

Medical implant

An implant removal tool for use in removing an expandable spinal implant device from a patient and a method of use. The tool includes a shaft having a distal end with a plurality of tabs and a central bore having a threaded section with an internal threaded wall. The plurality of tabs may include two curved tabs having blunt distal ends for cooperating with an implant. The threaded section is configured to receive a threaded shaft of an implant and lock the implant thereon for removal.

Implant removal tool

A compressible plate including a plurality of plate segments for compressing two or more osseous structures. The compressible cervical plate includes a spring retaining member extending from at least one plate segment and a spring retaining member recess disposed at another plate segment, the spring retaining member recess receiving the spring retaining member. A spring disposed at the spring retaining member and providing active compression between the plurality of plate segments.

An insertion device for deploying an implant includes an elongated main body having a distal locking portion for coupling to the implant and a proximal handle portion. The main body defines a central passage and the distal locking portion has outer ridges and slots to allow the outer ridges to flex radially inward when mounting to the implant. A plunger slides in the central passage for movement between an unlocked position for mounting the implant on the distal locking portion, a locked position for locking the implant on the distal locking portion, and an insertion instrument deployed position for deploying the actuation plunger to move the blades from the stowed position to the deployed position. A spike cap drive rotatably mounts on the main body having a socket end for engaging a drive nut on the implant to, in turn, move the spike cap.

Instrument for inserting an interspinous process implant

An insertion instrument for inserting an implant includes an elongated main body having a proximal handle and a distal portion that selectively couples to the implant. A wing actuation tool is slidably engaged in a central passage of the elongated main body to fix the implant to the elongated main body. The wing actuation tool temporarily attaches to the implant allowing for deployment and retraction of wings of the implant during surgery. Longitudinal translation of the wing actuation tool deploys an actuation plunger of the implant.
