Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for determining a notification based on device properties. A device identification database may associate device identifications with device properties. A device identification associated with a device may be received, and corresponding device properties may be determined. Based on the device properties, a notification may be determined and sent.

Device-based notification generation

Provided are methods and systems for providing variable bitrate content (e.g., video content, audio content, multimedia content, etc.). The content may comprise a plurality of portions (e.g., frames, segments, fragments, etc.). Each portion of the content may be tagged and/or associated with a content element. A content element may be associated with and/or indicate one or more of an encoding parameter associated with a respective portion of the content, attributes of the content (e.g., a scene transition, scene change, etc.) associated with the respective portion of the content, or additional content related items (e.g., one or more advertisements, etc.) associated with the respective portion of the content. The content element may be used to determine a bitrate to associate with the respective portion of the content. The content may be received/retrieved according to the determined bitrates.

Methods and systems for providing variable bitrate content

An interference signal may be used to add a layer of security to a wireless communication. The interference signal may comprise media content, such as video, audio, text, or other content available to a user device via a media service. The wireless communication may be used to transmit a data signal, which may include sensitive data. The interference signal may be filtered to process the data signal.

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for selectively modifying output of one more portions of a content item. Selective modifications may comprise enabling closed captioning for portions with difficult-to-understand dialogue, alerts of upcoming portions of a content item, skipping or replaying portions of a content item, volume adjustments, and/or contrast adjustments. Output modification may be automatic or partially automatic (e.g., based on acceptance after a prompt).

A speaker system uses destructive wave interference to generate 'dead spots' with respect to an audio presentation. The signal for the dead spot generating device can be an inverted signal generated using the audio signal. In one embodiment, the inverted signal is generated using the audio signal, an indication of loudness at one or more active speakers, and a determination of the characteristics of the sound path from the one or more active speakers (including delay and attenuation).

Furthermore, a method may include receiving weather prediction information associated with a property, updating, in response to the weather prediction information, a sprinkling schedule for a sprinkler system associated with the property, receiving, after a time period, updated weather prediction information for the property, and updating the sprinkling schedule based on a comparison between the sprinkling schedule and the weather prediction information over the time period.

Audio content captured by a plurality of microphones associated with a device, such as a hearing device, may be received. It may be determined that a first portion of the audio content is associated with a first microphone of the plurality of microphones. The first microphone may be a unidirectional microphone. Audio indicative of the first portion may be generated and sent to the device for output. It may be determined that a second portion of the audio content is associated with a second, different microphone of the plurality of microphones. The second microphone may be an omnidirectional microphone. Audio indicative of the second portion may be generated and sent to the device for output.

Systems and methods for hearing assistance

Methods are disclosed for receiving and processing video content to aid in a user's rest cycles, such as sleep and wake cycles. Video content may be received and processed to determine information related to a plurality of pixels to be displayed on a screen. Each of the plurality of pixels may have a corresponding color value. A time of day when the video content is to be displayed is determined, and compared to a current time of day. Based on the comparison or other data, a color value of one or more of the pixels can be adjusted or changed.

Enhancing user sleep cycle

Networking devices may allow for directed wireless communication. Such devices may comprise a movable antenna within a spherical housing having different ports associated with different positions, and may direct wireless communication beams in different directions to provide access to different zones by moving the antenna. A user may configure a system to prioritize or restrict zones or devices based on criteria. This prioritization may facilitate tiered services among users or devices.
