A compliance assembly includes a compliance strap arranged to engage and extend around the exterior of an orthopedic device, and a compliance clasp attached to the compliance strap. The compliance clasp includes a base member, a door member, and a locking system. The door member is pivotally connected to the base member and is movable between an open position and a closed position in which the door member is rotated toward the base member and locks the compliance strap between the base and door members. The locking system is arranged to irreversibly lock the door member in the closed position.

Orthopedic device

An outsole for an orthopedic device includes a heel part, a forefoot part, and a mid-foot part separating the heel part from the forefoot part. A longitudinal axis extends in a longitudinal direction between an anterior end of the forefoot part and a posterior end of the heel part. A transverse axis intersects the longitudinal axis and extends in a transverse direction between a lateral edge of the outsole and a medial edge of the outsole. A bottom surface extends along the longitudinal axis and between the medial and lateral edges. The bottom surface defines an apex at the intersection of the longitudinal and transverse axes and at least one apical line passing through the apex and subtending an oblique angle to the longitudinal axis. The bottom surface curves through the apex and along the at least one apical line in both the longitudinal and transverse directions.

Outsole for orthopedic device

A hinge includes an upper hinge component and a lower hinge component. A cover plate is pivotally connected at first location point to the upper hinge component and at a second location point to the lower hinge component. First and second plates are pivotally connected at a third location point to the upper hinge component and at a fourth location point to the lower hinge component. The first plate is positioned between the cover plate and the upper and lower hinge components. The upper and lower hinge components are positioned between the first and second plates. The cover plate is mounted on an outer side of the hinge and the connection of the cover plate at the first location point rotates around the third location point and the connection of the cover plate at the second location point rotates around the fourth location point.

Hinge for an orthopedic device

An orthopedic device includes a base shell having ankle and foot receiving portions. The base shell forms an opening over a dorsal aspect of the base shell. A dorsal shell is contoured to generally correspond to the opening in the base shell. The dorsal shell includes a proximal member connected to distal member via a flexible or resilient connecting portion arranged to accommodate a portion of a user's lower leg or ankle. A first flexible edge portion is attached to a distal terminal end of the distal member. The first flexible edge portion is arranged to bend or flex relative to the distal member so as to reduce the likelihood of pressure points on the user's toes from the distal member.

Shell for an orthopedic device

A strap tab assembly has a strap tab defining a substantially square-shaped locking hole located generally at a first end, and an elongated slot on a second end. The strap tab assembly includes a top cap defining a top cover, a square-shaped locking projection corresponding in shape to the locking hole, and a female portion forming a center channel and extending beyond and concentric with the locking projection. A bottom cap has a male portion adapted for being received in the center channel of the female portion to engage the top cap. The locking projection extends beyond the periphery of the female portion, and is configured and dimensioned to correspond to and engage an inner periphery of the locking hole.

Orthopedic device and components thereof

A spinal orthosis has an elongate spinal frame defining upper, middle and lower portions, and a lumbar assembly including a lumbar belt connected to the lower portion of the spinal frame. A middle bracket assembly is pivotally connected to the middle portion of the spinal frame, and a strap has a first end secured to the upper portion of the spinal frame. The strap extends from the upper portion of the frame to the middle bracket assembly with the strap redirecting from the middle bracket assembly and the second end of the strap securing to the lumbar belt.

Spinal orthosis

A hinge for an orthopedic device includes an upper hinge component, a lower hinge component, a first plate pivotally connected at a first location point to the upper hinge component and connected at a second location point to the lower hinge component, and a second plate pivotally connected at the first location point to the upper hinge component and at the second location point to the lower hinge component. A first rotation stop is connected at a third location point to the first and second plates. A center link is pivotally attached at a fourth location point to the upper hinge component and at a fifth location point to the lower hinge component. The center link has a first stop surface arranged to directly abut the first rotation stop. The hinge components and the center link are arranged between the first plate and the second plate.
