A release member is mounted at the port of a plug receptacle to enable removal of a plug connector from the port. The plug connector is devoid of releasing structure to enable removal of the plug. The release member moves parallel to or coaxial with a plug insertion axis of the port. The release member is biased to a non-actuated position separately from a plug lock being biased to a locking position. The release member can carry a polarity indicator for the port; various shaped actuation sections; and/or a biasing member for the release member.

Connector push release

A hybrid cable is provided that transmits both electrical power and optical signals. The hybrid cable has a transverse cross-sectional shape with multiple lobes and a generally circular outer boundary. At least some of the lobes surround and insulate the electrical conductors. The lobes surrounding the electrical conductors can be torn away from the remainder of the cable while continuing to insulate the electrical conductors.

Power/fiber hybrid cable for indoor use

A connector interface includes: a first connector having an outer body with a first bearing surface facing in a first axial direction; a second connector having an outer body with a second bearing surface facing in a second axial direction opposite the first axial direction; a resilient sealing element disposed between the first and second bearing surfaces; and a coupling nut associated with the first connector and configured to engage a feature on the second connector. Rotation of the coupling nut relative to the first and second connectors draws the first and second bearing surfaces toward each other to compress the sealing element such that the sealing element bulges radially outwardly to engage an inner surface of the coupling nut.
