A system for obtaining a multispectral image of a scene includes a first light source, a second light source, at least one imaging sensor, and a controller. The first light source emits light in a first wavelength range. The second light source emits light in a second wavelength range. The at least one imaging sensor senses light in the first wavelength range reflected off of the scene during a first illumination sensing period and senses light in the second wavelength range reflected off of the scene during a second illumination sensing period. The controller is electrically coupled to the at least one imaging sensor. The controller interprets signals received from the at least one imaging sensor as imaging data, stores the imaging data, and analyzes the imaging data with regard to multiple dimensions. The first illumination sensing period and the second illumination sensing period are discrete time periods.

Systems, devices, and methods for determining and displaying operational parameters of a light fixture that includes narrow band emitters. A controller includes stored information related to spectral power distributions of each of a plurality light wavebands generated by a plurality of narrow band emitters (e.g., LEDs). Based on the spectral power distributions, the controller is configured to determine an output spectrum of the light fixture and/or an output spectrum of individual wavebands. The controller is configured to generate an output display that includes the determined operational parameters associated with the light fixture and a mechanism for manipulating the outputs of the light fixture's wavebands. Using the mechanism, a user can manipulate the operational parameters of the light fixture and observe from the output display a substantially real-time representation of the operational parameters of the light fixture based on the user manipulations.

Systems, devices, and methods for displaying operational parameters of a light fixture including narrow band emitters

A system for generating a light pulse causes fluorescence in an object. The system includes a light emitting diode ('LED') light source to emit light onto the object. The light source has an operational radiant flux. The system also includes an imaging sensor to sense light emitted due to fluorescence in the object. The system further includes a controller electrically coupled to the light source. The controller is able to drive the light source to produce a pulse of light at a pulse radiant flux. The controller is also able to inhibit the light source after the pulse for a darkness period. The pulse radiant flux of the light produced by the light source is higher than the operational radiant flux of the light source.

Systems, devices, and methods for power pulse timing for a light fixture

Systems and methods for controlling the output of a plurality of light sources. The system can include four or more light sources (e.g. light emitting diodes ('LEDs')) and a controller. The light sources are included in, for example, a luminaire. The respective outputs of the plurality of light sources are controlled using a hue and purity ('HP') control technique. The HP technique includes selecting a dominant hue (e.g., green, blue, red, etc.). The purity of the selected hue is then modified to include or remove wavelengths of light adjacent to the selected hue. For example, if the selected hue is green, gradually reducing the purity of the selected hue gradually increases the presence of cyan and amber in the output of the luminaire. As the purity is reduced further, additional wavelengths of light are included, but the output of the luminaire remains, in essence, green.

Colorizer and method of operating the same

Systems, interfaces, and methods for controlling a luminaire. The luminaire includes a plurality of light sources or emitters corresponding to different characteristics of light. Color controls corresponding to pre-defined characteristics are set or modified by one or more dials, faders, or similar interface devices. Each of the color controls correspondingly controls the output of one or more of the light sources. A separation between the preset characteristic for each color control and the actual characteristic of each light source is calculated. An output value for each light source that is required to generate the selected characteristic is then calculated and stored in memory. When one or more color controls are selected, the output values of each light source required to reproduce the desired characteristic is determined, and the light sources in the luminaire are driven at the corresponding output values.
