According to an embodiment, a device for tightening an article includes a housing having an interior region and a spool positioned within the interior region and rotatable relative thereto. A tightening mechanism is operably coupled with the spool to cause the spool to rotate within the interior region of the housing. A tension member is coupled with the spool and is configured to be tensioned upon rotation of the spool via the tightening mechanism. The device also includes a tension limiting mechanism that allows the tension member to be tensioned via the tightening mechanism until a tension threshold is achieved. After the tension threshold is achieved, further operation of the tightening mechanism does not substantially tension the tension member due to the tension limiting mechanism.

Tension limiting mechanisms for closure devices and methods therefor

Lacing systems are disclosed for use with footwear or other articles. The lacing system can include flexible webbing lace guides. A lace guide can include a first lace guide element and a second lace guide element. The lace can pass through the first and second lace guides consecutively on the first side of the article before crossing to the opposing side of the article. The first and second lace guide elements can be angled towards each other to reduce the occurrence of sharp turns in the lace path through the lace guide elements. The lace guide can have a central portion that is less flexible than the end portions so as to reduce the occurrence of sharp turns in the lace path through the lace guide when tension is applied to the lace.

Guides for lacing systems

A cable and pulley operated membrane tuning system suitable for drums and other musical instruments, as well as other applications requiring tunable membranes. The cable is threaded through pulleys or guides attached the mounting assembly of the membrane, and tightened by means of a tensioning mechanism. The system tensions membrane by varying the tension on the cable. The system may be employed in single-membrane systems or in multiple membrane systems.

A color wheel is provided for use in the illumination system of a projector. The color wheel includes a rotor and a motor for rotating the rotor, the rotor includes a ring shaped translucent area formed by color filter segments, the translucent area being adapted to continuously extend into a light path as the rotor is rotated, the rotor in a first plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation further includes first means for balancing, the rotor in a second plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation further includes second means for balancing, wherein the first and the second plane are spaced apart. Due to the dual plane balancing means, the color wheel is better balanced.

A color wheel for use in projector systems comprises a disc shaped hub, rotatable around a central axis and color filter segments arranged radially to said central axis and affixed to said hub. This color ring is arranged concentrically with respect to said axis and said segments' contour comprising an outer arc, an inner arc and two radial parts. Each of the radial parts comprises a recess arranged such that during assembly of said segments pairs of neighboring recesses form a hole which again engages in a corresponding peg on the hub in a form fitting manner.
