A lighting device is provided that has a light source arrangement with a plurality of semiconductor-based light sources in the form of light-emitting diodes. The light sources are bundled or collimated such that they each emit light in differently directed light cones with adjacent light cones overlapping. The lighting device has an adjusting device for adjustment of the direction of illumination and an actuating circuit connected to the adjusting device. The adjusting device adjusts intermediate stages for which the light-emitting diodes of adjacent and overlapping light cones operate and with varying light intensity in such a way the focal point of the light field produced by the light-emitting diodes lies between the focal points of adjacent light cones.

Semiconductor-based lighting device

A light-emitting diode module is provided that includes a housing and a printed circuit board, which is connected to a light-emitting diode and which has an LED driver, a control module, and a circuit arrangement. The circuit arrangement has a DC/DC converter and a bypass connected in parallel to the DC/DC converter. The bypass is activatable by a comparator circuit. The comparator circuit is arranged between an input of the circuit arrangement and the DC/DC converter and detects the level of an input voltage of the circuit arrangement and compares it with a first and second threshold value. The comparator circuit activates the bypass when the input voltage is below the first threshold value and deactivates the bypass when the second threshold value is exceeded.

Circuit arrangement for an LED light source

The lighting apparatus, especially a reading lamp, has a light source (), a movable cover () to which the light source () is fastened, an adjusting element () that cooperates with the cover (), a bearing unit () for supporting the cover () and an adjusting ring (). The cover () and light source () are movable around a longitudinal axis (L) of the lighting apparatus () by actuating the adjusting element () and the cover () and light source () are moveable around a transverse axis (Q) extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (L) by actuating the cover (). The lighting apparatus in the form of the reading lamp is particularly useful aboard aircraft, ships, trains, automobiles, or other vehicles.
