A container-treatment machine includes a foaming unit that introduces foaming medium into a container that is filled with a foamable liquid. This causes a foam to form in the container. A sensor downstream obtains an image of the foam and provides it to a controller. The controller decides whether or not to eject the container based on the extent of a foam nose that forms on the container's outer surface.

Device and method for treating containers filled with foamable liquid filling material

In order to perform a cleaning-in-place or CIP cleaning of a filling element of a filling machine for the filling of containers with a liquid filling content, at least one closure element can be used, together with the filling element, to form a flushing chamber, in which a filling valve and a filling-level probe are at least partially disposed for the cleaning-in-place cleaning of the filling element. A control unit controls the flow of cleaning medium into the flushing chamber and the performance of at least one electrical measurement with the filling-level probe during the cleaning-in-place cleaning of the filling element.

Container filling arrangement for filling bottles and similar containers with a beverage and a method of operating the container filling arrangement

Method of controlling a container filling machine comprising a plurality of filling elements. Each of the filling elements has a flow measuring device which is used to measure the volume of filling material dispensed from its filling element. During filling, the time that a first filling element is open to dispense a predetermined volume of filling material is measured. A second filling element is then opened for essentially the measured time to thereby dispense essentially the predetermined volume of filling material into a second container. As an alternative, a time may be calculated from the measured times of a plurality of filling elements, which calculated time may be used to determine for how long another filling element is opened.
