A method for operating an internal combustion engine, having an exhaust gas turbocharger, during a load change of the internal combustion engine, includes initiation of a closing process of a throttle valve of the internal combustion engine, disposed in an induction tract or intake section of the internal combustion engine, as a function of an air pressure which is present upstream of the throttle valve, in such a way that the air pressure always falls short of a surge limit or pumping limit of a compressor, disposed in the induction tract, of the exhaust gas turbocharger. A staged or stepped reduction in a torque of the internal combustion engine is performed by shutting off fuel injections at predetermined cylinders of the internal combustion engine. An internal combustion engine with an exhaust gas turbocharger is also provided.

A turbine for an exhaust turbocharger, in particular for a motor vehicle, has a turbine flap which controls an exhaust volume flowing through the turbine. In order to operate an injection valve, a freewheeling operating state is controlled as the nozzle needle moves to its closing position, and a current through the coil is detected as a freewheeling current during freewheeling. As the nozzle needle moves to its closing position, a braking current pulse (I_BR) is generated on the basis of a time derivative (DI_DT_FW) of the freewheeling current and is impressed on the coil.

The invention relates to a method for controlling an injection of an internal combustion engine. The invention provides that after the internal combustion engine is started, the injection and/or the ignition is carried out according to a signal of an absolute position sensor device, particularly according to an absolute position sensor of a camshaft or according to an absolute position sensor of a crankshaft and to an angular range sensor. When a synchronization signal is detected by a sensor wheel of the crankshaft, the following control processes are carried out according to the synchronization signal, i.e. according to the position of the crankshaft. The inventive method is advantageous in that immediately after the internal combustion engine is started, a relatively precise signal for controlling the injection and/or the ignition is available. This enables a more precise combustion shortly after the internal combustion engine is started.

The invention relates to a device for electrohydraulic valve lift switching with a hydraulically activatable actuating element for bringing about valve lift switching, which is connected to an oil line, whereby the action of pressurized oil on the actuating element can be controlled by an on/off valve arranged in the oil line and connected to a control device. The invention has an oil pressure metering device arranged in the oil line, which is connected to the control device, and a device for detecting the time period between activation of the on/off valve by the control device and a characteristic change in the measured oil pressure.

A device for controlling an electromechanical actuator with an actuating element and an actuating drive. The actuating drive includes an electromagnet which has a core and a coil. The actuating drive, furthermore, has a moveable armature plate. A controller is provided, the control variable of which is the current through the coil and the actuating variable of which is a voltage applied to the coil. A voltage source generates a supply voltage and a pulse width modulator modulates the actuating variable as a function of the supply voltage.
