A rolling device has an upper and a lower work roll and at least one upper and one lower backup roll. The work rolls and the backup rolls are supported on a common rolling mill stand. The work rolls can be adjusted relative to each other in order to adjust a specified rolling gap. Each of the work rolls is operatively connected to at least one bending device. At least one first bending device is paired with die upper work roll, and at least one second bending device is paired with the lower work roll. The second bending device comprises bending cylinders which are arranged in a vertically fixed manner. The upper work roll can be readjusted or carried by the first bending device, thereby vertically adjusting die height of the rolling gap. The first bending device comprises bending arms that interact with bending cylinders arranged in a stationary manner.

Rolling device

A horizontal roll stand includes upper and lower back-up rolls, removable work rolls, a balancing device for supporting the upper work roll, and a vertical adjustment device for the lower back-up roll. The work rolls are removed and a press device for straightening pressing of a flat metal product is inserted into the roll stand. The press device includes opposing upper and lower press frames that are displaceable relative to each other. The upper press frame and the lower press frame have one of a selectively moveable pressing die or opposing selectively moveable table with a trough for immersion of the pressing die to selectively press and flatten defects in the flat metal product. The upper press frame includes carrier elements which contact a balancing device of and for support within the roll stand. The lower press frame has support elements for being supported on stanchions of the roll stand.

A roll stand () with at least one upper and one lower roll () supported by respective backing rolls () mounted on a common roll frame () and in bearings that are vertically displaceable with respect to each other for setting different roll gaps, with at least one axial shifter for one of rolls () and with at least one bender comprising a bending cylinder () for bending the upper roll () is characterized in that the bender comprises horizontal traverses () and bending arms () at each ends of the upper roll (), whereby for setting the roll gap height between rolls () the roll () is guided by bending arms ().

Roll stand

Disclosed is a support roll for a rolling mill, such as a plate rolling mill, flat rolling mill, or similar, comprising a jacket and a roll shaft which is embodied in several parts. The invention also relates to a method for producing a support roll.

Method for producing a support roll for a rolling mill

The invention relates to a rolling device () comprising at least two working rolls () which are respectively mounted in a roll stand () by means of working roll assembly pieces (). At least one of the working rolls () is adjustable relative to the other working roll () within the roll stand (), especially in a vertical direction, so as to adjust a desired rolling gap. At east one working roll () is effectively connected to bending means (), with the aid of which said working roll () can be impinged upon by a bending moment. The working roll assembly piece () is provided with arms () that laterally protrude relative to the axis () of the working roll () to absorb the force generated by the bending means (). In order to improve the adjustability of the rolling device to a large ascent, a pressure-transmitting element () which can be displaced relative to the roll stand (), particularly in a vertical direction, is disposed between a pressure-generating element () of the bending means (), especially a piston, and the protruding arm () of the working roll assembly piece ().

Rolling stand

The invention concerns a drive spindle () for the main drive of a rolling stand, which has: a first shaft () for transmitting torque from a drive motor () to a coupling element, especially to a multiple spline profile, and a second shaft () for transmitting the torque from the coupling element, especially the multiple spline profile, via a swivel joint () to a roll () of the rolling stand, wherein the swivel joint () has a wobbler (), which is rotationally rigidly connected with the roll (), and a second spindle head (), which is rotationally rigidly connected with the second shaft (), and wherein the rotational connection between the wobbler () and the spindle head () is produced by sliding bearings and a journal (), which is rotationally rigidly connected with the spindle head () but is supported in a way that allows an angle of inclination (&#x3b1;) between the axis of rotation () of the roll () and the axis of rotation () of the second shaft (). In order to achieve improved transmission of axial forces by the swivel joint, the invention provides that a bearing element () for absorbing forces in the direction of the axes of the second shaft () and the roll () is arranged between the wobbler () and the spindle head (), such that a push rod () for transmitting axial forces between the wobbler () and the spindle head () is arranged between the two bearing elements ().

Drive spindle for the main drive of a roll stand

An overload safety coupling, especially for the main drivetrains on rolling stands, which bridges a toothed spindle section and a spindle section with a permanent seat. The coupling includes a rotating-and-sliding sleeve, which has internal toothing at one end to hold the spindle section in a way that allows axial displacement. At the other end, the sleeve holds an inner sleeve, which is permanently seated on the spindle section. A pressure sleeve and a pressure gap pretensioned with pressure fluid produce a nonrotatable connection between the rear sleeve-like extension and the inner sleeve, which frictional connection gives way in the event of an overload.

Security coupling in particular for main drivetrains on rolling stands

Disclosed is a device for influencing in a controlled manner the load-bearing force of supporting rollers (SW) that rest on working rollers. The neck (WZ) of said supporting rollers (SW) which is provided with an extension (ZA) is mounted in roller bearings or sliding bearings that are disposed in a bearing-supporting housing of the rollers of a roller stand. The neck extension (ZA) is mounted in a supporting bearing. The outside of the housing (LG) of said supporting bearing is connected to the bearing-supporting housing. An intermediate housing (ZG) which is inserted in the housing (LG) of the supporting bearing cylindrically encloses the supporting bearing, is impinged upon by a piston cylinder unit (RB, SK), and can be displaced within said housing (LG) in a radial direction relative to the axis of the neck extension (ZA).

Device for influencing in a controlled manner the load pressure of pressure rollers

A rolling device with at least two rolls installed in a common stand, the rolls being mounted on lateral stringers by bearings, which are able to move vertically along the lateral stringers, and with at least one axial adjusting device for one of the rolls. The axial adjusting device is directly assigned to the vertically adjustable bearings and is able to move vertically along with them.

Rolling device with two work rolls supported in a rolling stand by a chock and with at least two additional rolls supported in the rolling stand by an additional chock. At least one of the work rolls and at least one of the additional rolls is adjustable for adjusting a desired roll gap relative to the other work roll or relative to the other additional roll. The work rolls have axial shifting devices for axial shifting and holding the work rolls into a desired axial position relative to the rolling stand. The work rolls are operatively connected with bending devices, by which a bending moment can act on the work rolls. The axial shifting devices are arranged and act between the rolling stand and the work roll locking mechanism. The bending devices are arranged or act between the work roll chock and the chock of the additional roll.

In order to provide a spray boom with a plurality of spray nozzles for a hydraulic descaling facility with which a high temperature constancy from beginning to the end of the rolling stock is insured and a too rapid cooling of the surface is prevented, it is proposed, in accordance with the invention, to assign a check valve to each spray nozzle.

A guide device on a vertical roll rolling mill frame (WG) which has vertical guide plates (FP) for the rolled product on both sides of the vertical roll pair (VW) above the rollers (RR) of the roller conveyor for feeding the rolled productand removing the rolled product from the roll and on a carrier (TR) for each vertical guide plate (FP), shiftable transversely to the rolling direction, adjustable and lockable. The carrier (TR) of each guide plate (FP) is connected on its back side with the linear positioning member of a mechanically or hydraulically driven shifting device which is fixed on the bearing body (LK) of the vertical roll. The carrier (TR) is cantilevered slidably above the roller conveyer and parallel to its roller axed in a cantilevered kulisse (FK) which is fixedly connected with the rolling mill frame.

Device for driving material to be rolled on vertical rolling mill cages

A device for adjusting a brush roll relative to a work roll in roll stand, particularly a roll stand for hot-rolling of aluminum includes pivotable supports mounted on both sides of the brush roll. The brush roll is rotatable in a direction opposite the direction of rotation of the work roll. The brush roll is displaceable in translatory movements parallel to the work roll. The pivot bearing of each brush roll support is arranged on a work roll chock, wherein the support includes a pivoting lever which is located between a controllable actuating element and a restoring support element. The actuating element is mounted in the balancing block or bending block of the roll stand and the support element is mounted in the chock.
