A system () configured to facilitate humidification of a pressurized flow of breathable gas delivered to a subject () comprises a pressure generator (), a nebulizer (), a heater (), one or more hardware processors (), and/or other components. The pressure generator is configured to generate a pressurized flow of breathable gas for delivery to an airway () within a trachea of the subject. The nebulizer is configured to provide fluid droplets () to the breathable gas. The heater is configured to heat a volume of the breathable gas before the droplets are supplied to the breathable gas. The breathable gas received by the subject exhibits a target temperature and humidity level at short distance d from the nebulizer due to one or more of a number of the droplets, an average size of the droplets, a gas flow rate, and/or an amount of heating power.

Humidification of a pressurized flow of breathable gas

The present invention provides a system () for humidification of a pressurized flow of breathable gas delivered to a patient, the system comprising; a ventilator () for generating a pressurized flow of breathable gas; a patient circuit () in fluid communication with the ventilator and connectable to the respiratory system of a patient; and an aerosol generator (). The patient circuit defines an internal space () for transporting the flow of breathable gas which internal space accommodates the outflow opening () of the aerosol generator. This enables to prevent so-called rainout and a relatively light weight portable system. The invention also relates to an insert () that is connectable to the patient circuit and that accommodates the aerosol generator.

System for humidification of a pressurized flow of breathable gas delivered to a patient

A ventilation unit is for ventilating an indoor space, and incorporates an air cleaning device and mechanical restrictor for controlling a restriction to a flow resulting from a pressure differential across the unit. There is determination of the inside and outside air pressures in the vicinity of the unit and of air quality parameters inside and outside. The air cleaning device and the mechanical restrictor are controlled in dependence on the determined air pressures and air quality parameters. This provides a fan-less, and hence low-power ventilation unit, which relies on throttling the natural air flow across the unit to provide flow control, and hence enable control of air quality. The air cleaning device may be operated only when the flow is into the inside space, saving power.

Ventilation unit, system and method

An electrostatic air cleaning device comprises a particle charging section, a particle precipitation section, a current sensor for measuring an electric current flowing through electrode plates of the precipitation section and a relative humidity sensor. The voltage applied to the electrode plates and the air flow through the device are controlled in dependence on the measured current flowing through the electrode plates. In this way, control is provided to prevent excessive electric leakage currents inside the precipitation section, that may lead to a hazard, and to optimize the energy efficiency of the cleaning device in relation to its cleaning performance. The relative humidity information also enables diagnosis of the cause of the high leakage current and the status of the precipitation section concerning the amount of precipitated particles therein.

Electrostatic particle filtering

The present disclosure pertains to a system configured to generate oxygen including a compressor configured to intake and pressurize gas, an oxygen separation unit comprising a first sieve bed, a second sieve bed, and an input receiving the stream of gas from an output of the compressor. The oxygen separation unit generates an oxygen flow by separating oxygen from the stream of gas. A membrane module in fluid connection with an output of the oxygen separation unit is configured to purify the oxygen flow generated by the oxygen separation unit. A valve arrangement is configured to direct, periodically, at least some of the oxygen flow from the membrane module through the sieve beds to purge the sieve beds with retentate gas and exhaust such retentate gas. One or more processors control the valve arrangement, so as to control the oxygen flow and purging of the sieve beds.

Hybrid oxygen concentrator with oxygen side balancing

Various improvements are provided to breathing training, monitoring and/or assistance devices. A portable device is provided which optionally includes a gas canister, a feedback system for implementing pressure control, and a visual output for indicating adherence to a breathing exercise to the user. The pressure control may provide regulation of different pressures for inhalation and exhalation.

Breathing training, monitoring and/or assistance device

The present disclosure describes a system and method for maintaining oxygen purity in portable oxygen concentrators, even with asymmetric generation of oxygen enriched gas volumes from different sieve beds of the concentration system. The present system and method compensate for asymmetric oxygen enriched gas generation using asymmetric delivery of purge volumes. Purge valves are used to deliver the asymmetric purge gas volumes, enables the system to maintain oxygen purity without additional power consumption, even when a portable oxygen concentrator does not include a product tank. The present system and method are configured such that asymmetry in enriched oxygen generation can be monitored and the asymmetric purge gas compensation can be applied independently from other control mechanisms of a portable oxygen concentrator.

Device, system and method for patient monitoring to predict and prevent bed falls

An autostereoscopic display includes a steerable display backlight, having a light output arrangement for providing lines of light output and a first lenticular lens array, with each lens focused near a corresponding line of light output. A display panel is illuminated by the backlight and a second lenticular array generates at least two views to different viewing directions. Head and/or eye tracking is used for tracking at least two viewers. Views are provided to the two eyes of a tracked viewer at the same time, and views are provided to the two eyes of different tracked viewers time-sequentially.

Autostereoscopic display device and display method

The present invention relates to a heating device. In order to allow heating essentially without any latency period and with low costs, the heating device comprises: at least one container () having an inlet opening () and an outlet opening () and comprising an adsorbent agent () being provided between said inlet opening () and outlet opening () and being capable of adsorbing an adsorbate thereby releasing adsorption energy; and a gas conveying device () for conveying an adsorbate comprising gas through the interior of the container (); wherein a gas conduit () is provided being connected to the outlet opening () of the container () for guiding the gas heated by adsorption energy inside the container () to a location to be heated with elevated temperature. Heating device

A display device has a display panel () and a color filter layer () spaced from the display panel, comprising an array of color filter portions. In a privacy mode (narrow viewing angle mode), the display panel produces output regions of different light output color, which regions are aligned with corresponding color portions of the color filter layer. In a public mode (wide viewing angle mode) the display panel produces light containing all of the output colors to all of the output regions. By providing a color filter layer spaced from the display panel, color filtering is used to control the range of angles over which an image is output. The color filter layer is in essence moved away from the display panel. The spacing between the two and the width of the color filter portions determines the extent by which the light output is angularly limited.

Display device and display control method

A particle sensor uses an electrostatic particle charging section in the form of an ionization chamber. A flow sensor arrangement is used to produce a signal which is representative of the amount of gas flow between the outside of the ionization chamber and the inside of the ionization chamber. This information is indicative of the flow conditions, and can be used to determine when adverse flow conditions are present which may adversely affect the performance or lifetime of the particle sensor.

The light blocking arrangement comprises a stack of layers (), each layer comprising a pattern of light blocking arrangement portions of two different types () such that in the stack of layers, the portions align to form light blocking members, each light blocking member being aligned with an respective lens. The repeating pattern of the light blocking members has a pitch which is double the lens pitch. This enables the light blocking arrangement to be manufactured more easily.
