A passenger car includes a roof with a roof opening. A roof module is disposed in the roof opening where the roof opening is delimited by transverse elements and longitudinal elements. The roof module includes a module frame that includes longitudinal frame parts spaced apart from one another in a transverse direction of the passenger car and transverse frame parts spaced apart from one another in a longitudinal direction of the passenger car where the longitudinal frame parts are connected to one another by the transverse frame parts. One of the transverse frame parts is directly connected to one of the transverse elements such that a profile component is formed which has a closed hollow cross section where the one of the transverse elements forms a lower shell of the profile component and the one of the transverse frame parts forms an upper shell of the profile component.

Passenger car having a roof module

A roof module for a vehicle roof of a passenger vehicle includes a module frame which includes a front module frame transverse element, a rear module frame transverse element, a first lateral module frame longitudinal element, and a second lateral module frame longitudinal element, where the first and the second lateral module frame longitudinal elements connect the front and the rear module frame transverse elements to each other. A cover element is mounted on the module frame. The front module frame transverse element is a first shell element and the first shell element is connectable to a second shell element of a roof frame of the vehicle roof. When the first shell element is connected to the second shell element they together form a roof crossmember of the vehicle roof which encloses a cavity.

Roof module for a vehicle roof of a passenger vehicle

A roof for a motor vehicle is disclosed. The roof has a cover element which can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle between a closed position and at least one open position and a wind deflector which is arranged on a front edge of the roof opening and which can be moved between a retracted position and at least one extended position. The cover element is wider than the wind deflector. At least one wind deflecting element is arranged on both sides outside the wind deflector. In an extended position, the respective wind deflecting element can be exposed in the manner of an ascending ramp or inclined plane towards the rear in the direction of the cover element arranged in the open position such that lateral, outer partial regions of the cover element are covered towards the front by the respective wind deflecting elements.

Roof for a motor vehicle, in particular a passenger vehicle

A roof module for a vehicle roof of a passenger vehicle is disclosed. The roof module has at least one covering element which is adjustable in a guided manner along lateral guiding elements which are spaced apart from one another in the vehicle transverse direction between a closed position which covers a roof opening and an open position which releases the roof opening at least in a partial region. At least one of the guiding elements is formed at least in an absorption region as an energy absorption element which is deformable, thereby absorbing energy, in the case of an at least indirect impact of the head of a vehicle occupant with the energy absorption element.

A modular construction system for producing a plurality of design variants of a roof module for a motor car includes a plurality of design-variant-specific adapter elements and a plurality of design-variant-specific planar elements. Using at least one adapter element, at least one respective planar element can be connected to a frame, forming a roof opening, in particular of a motor car shell.

Modular construction system and method for producing a roof module

In one embodiment, an assembly for an openable sliding roof having a cover for selectively exposing and closing a roof opening is provided, the assembly having: at least one lever for raising and lowering the cover, the at least one lever being pivotally mounted to the cover; and a height adjusting mechanism for repositioning the lever with respect to the cover, the height adjusting mechanism having an eccentric coupling the lever to the cover.

A sliding roof system, in particular for motor vehicles, with at least one guide rail, a carriage which is shiftable in the guide rail, a guide element located at the front, which can cooperate with a cover of the sliding roof, and a swing-out lever located at the rear, which likewise can cooperate with the cover and can be moved by the carriage from a starting position into a position swung out, is wherein the swing-out lever is mounted on the guide rail with a fixed swivel axis and that at least in the starting position the end of the swing-out lever associated to the cover lies on the side of the swivel axis facing the carriage.
