For sending an emergency call as a function of a predefined accident criterion, together with the emergency call, dynamic sensor data are transmitted which have been recorded in particular shortly before the occurrence of an accident criterion and which allow conclusions to be drawn about the accident situation.

Method for sending an emergency call and device

Pixels on the edge (A, B, C, D; E, F, G, H; I) of previously predicted neighboring picture blocks (A', B&#x2032;) are used for directional prediction of a picture block (C&#x2032;). Depending on the prediction direction, the pixels used for prediction are prefiltered along an edge of the actual picture block to be predicted (C&#x2032;) in order to suppress prediction artifacts.
