The present invention relates to methods, systems, and computer readable media for deriving chemical compositions that are present in a chemical product to be manufactured and for determining whether the chemical product complies with government regulations. A method can comprise obtaining a bill of material including components to manufacture the chemical product; ascertaining whether any of the components includes subcomponents; replacing any components including subcomponents with the subcomponents in a revised bill of material; and deriving from the revised bill of material the chemical compositions present in the manufactured chemical product. In some embodiments, the derived chemical compositions can be compared to a stored set of government regulatory standards relating to the chemical compositions to determine compliance.

Disclosed are certain polyester adhesive blend compositions comprising about 45-90 wt. percent of a copolyester, about 3-15 wt. percent of a plasticizer, and about 7-40 wt. percent of a tackifying resin. The blends are particularly useful in hot-melt glue gun applications.

Polyester formulations for hot-melt wood adhesives

Disclosed are certain copolyesters comprising an acid component of (1) 60 to 75 mol % of terephthalic acid, and (2) 25 to 40 mol % of a dicarboxylic acid, and a glycol component of (1) 55 to 65 mol % 1,4-butanediol, and (2) 35 to 45 mol % one or more other aliphatic diols. The copolyester or formulation thereof with a tackifying resin has excellent properties for use as a glue gun adhesive.

A linear, essentially crystalline, thermoplastic copolyester having an I.V. of about 0.4-1.2 and a melting point of about 60.degree.-130.degree. C., said copolyester having repeat units from adipic acid, 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and about 30-0.5 mole % of aliphatic coglycol having 2-8 carbon atoms, said copolyester having a bonding temperature of about 90.degree.-120.degree. C.

Disclosed is a process for substantially increasing the flexibility of a polyester by annealing the polyester. The polyester is either a dimer acid or a poly(alkylene oxide)glycol modified poly(1,4-cyclohexylenedimethylene-1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylate).
