An improved wet processing method for producing improved terry fabrics is provided. Woven fabric is treated based on enzymatic treatment process including de-sizing using optimized dosage of predetermined de-sizing ingredients, washed and bio-washed using optimized dosage of bio-washing ingredients. Enzyme treated fabric is pre-treated and subjected to hot air beat-up process comprising mechanically treating pre-treated fabric with optimized hot air beat-up parameters. Air is blown onto pre-treated fabric from both directions for predetermined duration and at predetermined frequency causing to and fro movement of fabric in tumbling chambers of tumbling machine resulting in an instantaneous impact produced on every pile loop of pre-treated fabric such that fibers rearrange in a path of least resistance to produce relaxed, open and aligned fiber structure in the fabric. Mechanically treated hot air-beaten up fabric is dyed and includes finishing the dyed fabric with softener and subjected to tumbling using optimized finishing parameters.

Wet processing technique for producing terry fabrics

A fitted sheet and a gripping element integrable with fitted sheets is provided. The fitted sheet comprises an elastic band and a plurality of gripping elements secured to a surface of the fitted sheet. Each gripping element comprises a horizontal elastic strip and an inverted V shaped elastic segment attached to the horizontal elastic strip. At least two arms of the inverted V shaped segment are attachable diagonally along the surface of the sheet respectively. The horizontal elastic strip is extendable laterally along a surface of the fitted sheet. The resultant force generated by the elastic band and the plurality of gripping elements enhances gripping of the fitted sheet and prevents crumpling and dog ear formation during usage.

The invention provides a novel pile fabric and a method for manufacturing the novel pile fabric. The pile fabric comprises: (i) a woven ground fabric comprising a plurality of warp yarns and a plurality of weft yarns intersecting the plurality of warp yarns, (ii) one or more pile yarns woven to form a plurality of pile loops extending from the ground fabric, wherein (a) at least one pile yarn from among the one or more pile yarns is a multi-ply pile yarn comprising a first pile component yarn plied with a second pile component yarn, and (b) a turns-per-loop ratio of the multi-ply pile yarn is less than 1.9 turns-per-loop.

Pile fabric and methods for manufacture of the same

A woven fabric having a novel composition of multiple fibres with improved comfort and performance is disclosed. Further, a fabric composition, construction and crimp control process provides enhanced comfort and performance by improving parameters such as thermal conductivity and moisture regulation along with other parameters such as dimensional stability, smoothness, drying properties and tensile strength. The woven fabric includes a plurality of warp yarns and a plurality of weft yarns interwoven with said plurality of warp yarns, where the plurality of warp yarns is a blended spun yarn including cotton fibre and regenerated cellulose fibre. Each of the plurality of weft yarns is a continuous polyester filament of fine count. The woven fabric composition includes more than 50% cotton, 15-25% regenerated cellulose fibre and less than 35% polyester, further wherein moisture regain of the woven fabric is in the range of 5.5%-8.5%.

Woven fabric with improved comfort

The present invention relates to textile fabrics and methods of manufacturing textile fabrics. Particularly, the invention comprises a method of producing a fabric, comprising the steps of (i) blending chemo mechanically felting fibers with non-felting fibers into a blended feed material, (ii) spinning the blended feed material into a blended yarn, (iii) producing a fabric comprising the blended yarn, (iv) subjecting the fabric to a first fabric treatment comprising a mechanical felting treatment; and (v) subjecting the fabric to a second fabric treatment comprising a chemical treatment of the fabric with an alkali, wherein the ratio of weight of the alkali to dry fabric weight is between 0.02 and 0.05, thereby obtaining increased air space in the resultant fabric.

A terry fabric having a plurality of longitudinally oriented ground warp yarns pairs, a plurality of longitudinally oriented pile warp yarns, and a plurality of weft yarns oriented substantially perpendicular to the ground warp yarn pairs.
