Systems and methods are provided for extending installment options to users. One example computer-implemented method includes, as part of an authentication challenge to a user for a transaction, requesting, by a communication device of the user, installment options from an installment service provider (ISP) based on an identifier specific to a first party involved in the transaction. In response, the ISP retrieves the requested installment options and provides them to the communication device. The method also includes displaying, by the communication device, the installment options to the user, soliciting a selection of one of the installment options, and, in response to the selection, identifying the selected one of the installment options to the ISP, whereby the ISP records the selected installment option as payment for the transaction.

Methods and systems for extending installment options

A method for biometric payments comprises: receiving biometric data obtained by a biometric reader device from a user who is registered for biometric payments with a merchant; determining a biometric identifier that is associated with the biometric data; determining a stored payment credential that is associated with the biometric identifier, wherein the stored payment credential is not stored by the merchant; determining a payment card number or payment token based on the stored payment credential; and generating an authorisation request message for processing by an issuer, wherein the authorisation request message comprises the payment card number or payment token, and a data element comprising an indication that the user was authenticated by a biometric authentication method.

Method and system for biometric payments

A system for routing an identity validation request comprises at least one processor in communication with computer-readable storage, the computer-readable storage having stored thereon instructions for causing the at least one processor to: receive, from a requesting device, an identity validation request, the identity validation request comprising identity data and a payment credential; determine, from the payment credential, an issuer of the payment credential; transmit, to the issuer, a verification service request message that comprises the identity data and the payment credential; receive, from the issuer, a verification service response indicating whether or not the identity data has previously been associated with the payment credential; and based on the verification service response, transmit, to the requesting device, an indication as to validity of the identity data.
