A power meter socket assembly includes a primary meter stack section with a first bus section including conductors oriented in a first plane and an extension meter stack section including a second bus section including conductors oriented in the first plane. The assembly includes a first connection section including flexible conductors. Each flexible conductor includes a first end electrically connected to a conductor of the first bus section and a second end electrically connected to a conductor of the second bus section. The assembly includes a power bus connection section and a disconnect switch. The switch includes line terminals electrically connected to the bus connection section and load terminals connected to the first bus section. The assembly includes a second connection section including flexible conductors oriented parallel to and below the first bus section to connect the line terminals of the switch to the bus connection section.

A receptacle includes an outlet, an interruption mechanism structured to activate to de-energize the outlet, a temperature sensing circuit including a resistor and a thermistor arranged as a voltage divider, wherein the thermistor has a resistance proportional to temperature, a comparator circuit structured to compare an output of the temperature sensing circuit to a predetermined reference voltage and to selectively output a signal based on the comparison of the output of the temperature sensing circuit and the predetermined reference voltage. The interruption mechanism is structured to activate to de-energize the outlet in response to the comparator circuit outputting the signal.

Enclosures for electrical distribution systems include a height adjuster enclosure that provides connector buses and bus lines that rise from bus lines in a main terminal enclosure to connect to another enclosure such as a meter stack enclosure through the bus lines in the height adjuster enclosure. The bus lines in the height adjuster enclosure can include a three-phase bus having three vertical line conductor buses and a vertical neutral conductor bus that can be coupled to a feeder bus in the main terminal enclosure and a feeder bus in the meter stack enclosure.

An electrical connection element is for a power connector. The power connector includes an electrical component having a number of first electrical mating members. The electrical connection element comprises: a housing including a number of second electrical mating members structured to be electrically connected to the number of first electrical mating members; a contact assembly enclosed by the housing and being electrically connected to the number of second electrical mating members; and an operating mechanism for opening and closing the contact assembly. The contact assembly is structured to electrically connect and disconnect power while the number of first electrical mating members remain mechanically coupled to the number of second electrical mating members.
