Various example embodiments described herein relate to a method for synchronizing liquid crystal display (LCD) screens. In some examples, the method includes establishing, by a first device comprising a processor, a master/slave relationship with one or more other devices; determining, by the first device, a frequency associated with turning on a first LCD screen on the first device; and sending, by the first device, a signal to each of the one or more other devices, wherein the signal comprises an instruction to turn on an LCD screen on each receiving device at a same time as the first LCD screen.

Various example embodiments described herein relate to a method for selecting antennas in an RFID reader. In some examples, the method includes determining that at least one external antenna and internal antenna are connected to the RFID reader; selecting the at least one external antenna and internal antenna; and performing a read operation based on the selected at least one external antenna and internal antenna.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods of manufacturing are described that provide improved tag identification. An example system includes a radio-frequency identification (RFID) scanner that receives a stream of RFID tags each associated with a respective article. The system further includes a first sensor attached to the RFID scanner that generates first positional data and a second sensor positioned separate from the first sensor that generates second positional data. The system also includes a computing device communicably coupled with the RFID scanner, the first sensor, and the second sensor. The computing device receives the stream of RFID tags, receives first positional data from the first sensor, receives second positional data from the second sensor, and determines an intended RFID tag from amongst the stream of RFID tags based upon the first positional data and the second positional data.
