Disclosed are systems, apparatuses, processes, and computer-readable media for wireless communications. For example, an example of a process includes determining, at the first network device, an estimated location of a second network device. The process may further include comparing, at the first network device, the estimated location with an expected location for the second network device. The process may include determining, at the first network device, whether the second network device is a misbehaving device based on the comparing. The process may further include generating, at the first network device, a report based on the determining of whether the second device is a misbehaving device.

Misbehavior detection service for sharing connected and sensed objects

Techniques are provided for utilizing vehicle nudge information with V2X communication links. An example method for providing nudge information includes detecting a roadway gap proximate to a first vehicle in an area containing a plurality of vehicles, generating a nudge message based at least in part on the roadway gap, and transmitting the nudge message.

Vehicle nudge via C-V2X

Method and apparatus for maintaining C-V2X timing (e.g., in platoon scenarios). The apparatus of a slave UE determines a thermal condition of the respective slave UE within a platoon of UEs. The apparatus performs synchronization with a first synchronization source, directly or indirectly, based on the thermal condition of the slave UE. Synchronization is performed directly with the first synchronization source in response to a determination that the thermal condition of the slave UE is below a threshold. Synchronization is performed indirectly with the first synchronization source through a master UE within the platoon of UEs in response to a determination that the thermal condition exceeds a threshold. The apparatus may receive, from a master UE within the platoon of UEs, SLSS to synchronize indirectly to the first synchronization source through the master UE.

Thermal efficient method to maintain CV2X timing

A communication device mounted on a vehicle, e.g., On-Board Unit (OBU), communicates collision related information to other road entities, e.g., other vehicles or roadside units (RSUs) or a server, after a collision is detected. The OBU may temporarily store basic safety messages (BSMs) (and optionally sensor data) for a predesignated number of seconds before discarding the BSMs (and optionally sensor data) on a continuing basis. When a collision is detected, the OBU sends a report, e.g., to a server, with the stored BSMs (and optionally sensor data) to a server. After a collision detection, the OBU may send a request to other vehicles to upload relevant collision related information. Additionally, if a first vehicle detects the collision of a second vehicle, the first vehicle may communicate collision related information to other entities and a server.

Method and apparatus for communicating collision related information

A vehicle may transmit, to a network entity, a lane use request message associated with a lane for the vehicle. The network entity may identify lane information associated with a lane for a vehicle. The network entity may identify vehicle information associated with the vehicle. The network entity may transmit, to the vehicle, and the vehicle may receive, from the network entity, a lane use grant message based on at least one of the identified lane information or the identified vehicle information. The lane use grant message may be indicative of a permission for the vehicle to use the lane. The vehicle may not be permitted to use the lane without the permission. The lane may correspond to a flexible direction lane, an emergency lane, a road shoulder, an HOV lane, or a passing lane.

Smart traffic management

A method of vehicle-to-vehicle monitoring includes: receiving, at a monitor vehicle, a trigger to provide a report relating to a target vehicle, the trigger including identifying information of the target vehicle; obtaining, at the monitor vehicle, first information wirelessly that at least partially identifies the target vehicle; determining, at the monitor vehicle, that the first information corresponds to the identifying information of the target vehicle; and reporting, from the monitor vehicle based on receipt of the trigger and determining that the first information corresponds to the identifying information of the target vehicle, second information indicating presence of the target vehicle and a location associated with the target vehicle.

Vehicle monitoring

Modem thermal management may include a state machine monitoring a temperature associated with a modem, setting a mode in response to detection of a change in the temperature with respect to a threshold, and applying a set of one or more thermal mitigation actions associated with a current state of the state machine. The state machine may set a timer in response to detection of the change in temperature and then transition from the current state to another state in response to expiration of the timer. The monitored temperature may be a junction temperature or a skin temperature.
