An irrigation device has a generally arc-shaped housing defining an opening through which a plant can grow when the device is placed on a ground face during use. The device further includes a plurality of stakes that can be fitted to the housing, wherein each stake can be rotated between a deployed state where the stake projects away from the housing in a position suitable for being placed into the ground and a non-deployed state where the stake is oriented sideways projecting into the opening.

A thin walled irrigation pipe has a tensile layer formed as a continuous strip upon an outer side of the pipe for increasing tensile strength of the pipe. The tensile layer includes a higher tensile strength than material of the remainder of the pipe outside of the tensile layer.

An irrigation pipe formed from a sheet that is rolled into a tube about a longitudinal axis of the sheet. The pipe has a watertight layer and a fabric layer. The fabric layer comprises a first fiber arrangement including first main fibers having a first orientation and a second fiber arrangement including second main fibers having a second orientation. The first and second orientations are transverse relative to each other and to the longitudinal axis when viewed in the sheet before it is rolled.

An irrigation pipe connector has a core that is adapted to connect to an irrigation element and a wing that is attachable to a wall of a pipe. The wing is provided with resiliency to allow the connector to deform in response to changing fluid pressures in the pipe. In addition, the wing may be provided with a thin segment in order to reduce potential damage during welding of the wing to the wall of the pipe.

A fitting assembly that can attach to an open end of a flexible pipe has a nipple and a clamp. For attachment, the pipe is fitted with its open end over the nipple and the clamp fits over the pipe where the pipe fits over the nipple. The nipple has a seal and a barb arrangement that is located rear to the seal. The seal and barb arrangement contact an inner face of the pipe. The clamp has an axial extension that is sized to overlie the barb arrangement and the seal in order to press the pipe against the barb arrangement and the seal.

An irrigation pipe with holes is provided. The pipe is, at least in the area of each hole, multilayered. At least top and bottom layers of the pipe are made of a water-repellant material, and an inner layer of the pipe is made of a porous material. The hole is defined by a cut surface of the pipe wall. The cut surface comprises a seal, which covers at least the inner layer. Each layer may be bonded to adjacent layers.

Cross-laminated pipe and method of manufacturing same

There is provided an insert to be sealingly mounted into a plug hole of a pipe having a sealing area surrounding the plug hole. The insert comprises an internal unit and a fastener. The internal unit and the fastener have corresponding cooperating sealing portions and mounting portions. The sealing portion of the internal unit is formed with a flange adapted to be forced into the plug hole. The flange and the sealing portion of the fastener have corresponding sealing surfaces. These surfaces are adapted to sealingly clamp therebetween the sealing area of the pipe, when the insert is mounted into the plug hole. One of the sealing surfaces being in the form of a sealing edge and the other being in the form of a conical surface. When the fastener is mounted onto the internal unit, the sealing portions of the internal unit and the fastener form therebetween a chamber. The chamber is in fluid communication with the outside environment, allowing atmospheric pressure within the chamber.

Pipe insert

An irrigation pipe with a plurality of connector elements adapted for attachment of lateral branches thereto, where the connector elements are integrally fitted to the pipe's wall during the manufacture. Connector elements may be fitted open and be adapted for closing after manufacture if not intended for use, or may be fitted closed and be adapted for opening after manufacture to enable the attachment. A method of production of such irrigation pipe from a strip of flexible weldable or bondable material includes fitting integrally the connector elements to predetermined locations on the strip, with or without punching the strip; bending or twisting the strip so as to juxtapose or overlap lateral edges thereof; and welding or bonding integrally the edges so as to obtain a closed pipe section.

A coupling is formed from inner and outer members. The inner member is attached to a pipe wall and is formed with a bulge. The outer member is retained by the inner member and is formed with a clamp that surrounds the bulge.
