A computer-implemented method for preventing password leakage into a non-password field includes detecting that a user of an electronic device has entered a character in a non-password field appearing on a display associated with the electronic device. The character is echoed to at least the display, and stored to provide a stored character string. The stored character string is compared to a set of valid entries for the non-password field, when length of the stored character string reaches a predetermined threshold value. An alert is transmitted when the stored character string fails to match at least a substring of an element of the set of valid entries for the non-password field.

Authentication mechanism

In an approach to video filtering, a computer receives a first video frame of a presenter from a video feed that includes an audio feed. The computer receives a second video frame. The computer determines whether a difference between the first video frame and the second video frame exceeds a pre-defined threshold. In response to determining the difference between the first video frame and the second video frame exceeds the pre-defined threshold, the computer determines whether the difference between the first video frame and the second video frame is expected. In response to determining the difference between the first video frame and the second video frame is expected, the computer discards video data associated with the difference between the first video frame and the second video frame. The computer creates a third video frame, based, at least in part, on non-discarded video data.

Filtering video for video telephony and video conferencing

A method for positioning video feeds of a video conference on an electronic display. The method includes selecting a first property of the plurality of video feeds used to position the plurality of video feeds on the electronic display. A first and second value of the first property is received from a respective first and second video feed. A request for a layout style of the plurality of video feeds on the electronic display is received. The layout style has a plurality of positions for the plurality of video feeds. Each of the plurality of positions has a criteria of the first property. The first and second video feed belong is positioned on the layout. The positioning is based on a relationship of the criteria of each of the plurality of positions to the first and second values.

Video feed layout in video conferences

In an approach to video filtering, a computer receives a first video frame of a presenter from a video feed that includes an audio feed. The computer extracts a face of the presenter and a background from the first video frame. The computer receives a second video frame. The computer determines whether a difference between the first video frame and the second video frame exceeds a pre-defined threshold. The computer converts the audio feed from speech to text. The computer determines whether the difference between the first video frame and the second video frame is expected, based, at least in part, on the converted audio feeds. The computer discards video data associated with the difference between the first video frame and the second video frame. The computer creates a third video frame, based, at least in part, on non-discarded video data.

A mechanism is provided for enhancing password protection. a combination password that comprises dynamic text interspersed within a static user password is received from a user. A determination is made as to whether the combination password is to be verified without the dynamic text. Responsive to identifying that the combination password is to be verified without the dynamic text, the dynamic text is filtered from the combination password based on an identified dynamic suggestion issued to the user prior to the combination password being received thereby forming a filtered password. The filtered password is then authenticated using information stored for the user. Responsive to validating the filtered password, access is granted by the user to a secured system.
