A smart gate system, and method, includes a thermal sensor for measuring a temperature of a visitor and transmitting the measured temperature, a QR code reader to read a health status QR code having a date range and transmitting a message including health status information of the visitor and a request for entry, a gate controller receiving a control signal for permitting or denying entry through a gate, a server for determining that the health status information and the temperature of the visitor indicate that the visitor has not contracted a predetermined virus and that the visitor is a registered visitor, and responding to the request for entry by transmitting the control signal to the gate controller in accordance with the determination and whether the health status QR code is within the predetermined date range, and the gate controller controlling opening of the gate based on the control signal.

Methods, systems, and computer readable media for authentication using a text file and a one-time password are described. A method includes receiving user credentials and providing initial text for modification then generating first and second hash values based on a hash function of the initial and modified texts, and comparing the hash values and creating a record in a user table to store information corresponding to the user including the second hash value, wherein the information includes the modified text if the texts do not match; then sending a user a first one-time password via email to verify that the user is an owner of an email address provided by the user.

Systems and methods to secure data transmission between IoT sensors and their base station that may include use of a sensor system to obtain sensor data and generate per-packet keys to obtain corresponding values from a multi-dimensional cubic array. The sensor data may be encrypted based on the multi-dimensional cubic array to generate an encrypted data value which is transmitted to a wireless access point then decrypted using the plurality of per-packet keys.
