A device may obtain network information associated with a network device to be installed at a particular location in a network. The device may select, based on the network information, a virtual distributed unit (vDU), of a plurality of vDUs, to be deployed on the network device. The device may generate, based on selecting the vDU, deployment information associated with the vDU, where the deployment information includes configuration information that is configured for the particular location. The device may send the deployment information to the network device to cause the vDU to be automatically deployed on the network device.

Method and system for deploying a virtual distributed unit on a network device

A device may attach to a mobile service provider (MSP) network and establish a first communication path from the device to a packet data network (PDN) gateway in the MSP network. The device may also start a session over the first communication path and detect a wireless network which is available for establishing a second communication path that extends from the device to the PDN gateway over the wireless network. While the first communication path is intact, the device may: attach the device to the MSP network over the wireless network, wherein attaching the device over the wireless network includes establishing a second communication path from the device to the PDN gateway over the wireless network; evaluate conditions for the first communication path and the second communication path; and select one of the first and second communication paths as an active communication path based on the evaluated conditions.

Mobile device anchoring and connectivity across multiple mobile network technologies

A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium provide storing context information pertaining to an end device and previous attachments of the end device to the network; receiving an indication that the end device requests an attachment to the network subsequent to the storing and subsequent to previously occurring detachments of the end device; authenticating the end device using the context information during the attachment; and causing a creation of a bearer connection between the end device and the network using the context information and during the attachment.
