Methods and thermally stable aqueous borate-based cross-linking suspensions for treatment of subterranean formations

The present disclosure relates to compositions and methods for recovery of hydrocarbons from subterranean formations. The compositions may be dry blends of synthetic and naturally derived polymers. The blend compositions may also be produced as high activity solvent-based fluidized polymer suspensions. Either in dry or liquid forms, the blend compositions provide higher proppant carrying capacity in comparison to conventional solutions, as well as improved breakability and crosslinking capacity.

Enhanced proppant transport for hydraulic fracturing

A dry composition of dry polyacrylamide and dry guar; or a liquid suspension made from the dry composition for treating subterranean formations and methods for enhancing proppant transport in fracturing fluids using the composition.

Methods, fluids, compositions, and suspensions are provided for treating subterranean formations. The fluids can be servicing fluids, such as drilling or fracturing fluids. The fluids may include an aqueous base fluid and a polysaccharide. The aqueous base fluid may be admixed with a crosslinker suspension. The crosslinker suspension may include an emulsion, an emulsifier, and a boron containing compound.

The present invention provides a method of making a carbon nanotubes fiber by providing a polyethylene terephthalate substrate; contacting the polyethylene terephthalate substrate with a polyvinyl alcohol polymer solution to form a polyvinyl alcohol polymer layer on the polyethylene terephthalate substrate; contacting the polyvinyl alcohol polymer layer with a carbon nanotube solution, wherein the carbon nanotubes solution comprises one or more carbon nanotubes; forming a nanotube layer on the polyvinyl alcohol polymer layer; delaminating the polyvinyl alcohol polymer layer from the polyethylene terephthalate substrate to release a composite fiber layer; stretching the composite fiber layer; and drying the composite fiber layer.
