Medical device having a detachable cover element A medical device () for administering a medical solution to a patient comprises a housing (), a receptacle () for receiving a pumping apparatus () for administering the medical solution to the patient, and a cover element () for covering the receptacle (). The cover element (), in a connected state, is pivotably connected to the housing () about a pivot axis (P) by means of a hinge connection, the hinge connection being releasable for detaching the cover element () from the housing (). In this way a medical device is provided which may have an increased adjustability for use in different environments in a healthcare environment.
