A method performed by a hearing device comprising a first housing, a microphone, a speaker, and a first control system configured to control an active vent, the active vent comprising a vent canal and a valve member configured to block the vent canal when the active vent is in the closed state, and to allow passage of air through the vent canal when the active vent is in the open state, comprising: emitting an acoustic signal from the speaker; measuring a first transfer function of an acoustic feedback path between the speaker and the microphone when the active vent is expected to be in the open state; measuring a second transfer function of the acoustic feedback path when the active vent is expected to be in the closed state; and determining a status of the active vent based at least on the first and second measured transfer functions.

A receiver for a hearable, said receiver comprising a moveable membrane, and an arrangement for detecting the movements of the moveable membrane during, for example, a fitting process. The arrangement for detecting the movements of the moveable membrane may include one or more electrodes forming one or more capacitors in combination with the moveable membrane. The receiver may further include a moving armature type motor having an inductor being wounded around at least part of a moving armature. This inductor may form part of the arrangement for detecting the movements of the moveable membrane. The present invention further relates to a hearable and an associated method.

The base may flex between a U-shape and an inverted U-shape and may thus provide force to move the diaphragm.

The present invention relates to a compact and robust hybrid receiver comprising a moving coil type receiver and one or more moving armature type receivers, wherein the moving coil type receiver and the moving armature type receiver, at least partly, share a common magnetic circuit.

A hearing aid device comprising a receiver unit arranged in a compartment in a shell, wherein the shell comprises a venting passage between first and second opposite faces of the shell to provide air passage from one side of the shell to another, and wherein the shell comprises an opening in the first face into the compartment and a closing member positioned to close off the compartment. The opening is shaped to allow the receiver unit to be inserted into the compartment through the opening, and the compartment is acoustically connected to the venting passage to allow the sound to emit through the venting passage. The receiver unit may be releasably mounted in the compartment such that the receiver unit can be retracted from the shell through the opening.

Hearing aid device

A multiple receiver assembly comprising at least a first spout-less receiver comprising a sound output opening; and a joiner. The joiner comprises a mounting plate portion having a first surface and an opposite second surface, the mounting plate further defining a mounting plane; first engagement means for engaging the first spout-less receiver at the first surface; and a spout portion comprising at least one sound channel extending through the spout portion. The sound output opening is aligned with one of the at least one sound channels when the spout-less receiver engages the first engagement means.

Joiner for a receiver assembly

A hearing aid or a transducer for use in a hearing aid, having a housing with an opening from an inner chamber thereof to surroundings thereof. A moisture transporting element is positioned in the opening. The moisture transporting element may be capillary channels or a thread made of fibers which may fan out at the outer side in order to increase evaporation. The chamber may be hydrophobic and surroundings of the opening be hydrophilic to encourage humidity to travel toward the humidity transporting element to be removed from the chamber.
