A self-drilling anchor for use in a friable material comprises a body having an axis, a flanged rear end, a drilling front end and a generally cylindrical portion therebetween having an outer surface with a thread disposed thereon, wherein the body forks, beginning at a predetermined distance from the flanged rear end, into a first leg and a second leg, the first leg extending forwardly into a drilling tip, wherein the first leg may have a generally rearward facing shoulder angled obtusely outwardly with respect to the axis, wherein the body has an axial bore for receiving an elongate fastener, the axial bore extending substantially through the flanged end and leading to the generally rearward facing shoulder, wherein the anchor is adapted so that the first leg pivots apart from the second leg when the elongate fastener deflects the generally rearward facing shoulder and the predetermined distance is selected to increase pullout strength when the first leg is pivoted apart from the second leg and the anchor is installed in the friable material.

A flow amplifying pump apparatus includes a body member that defines a flow passageway and a compressed air inlet. The body member includes a main segment and an insert segment which extends into a container and rotates relative to the main segment. A cover member which lies releasably secured to the body member supports a plug assembly. The plug assembly includes a plunger that defines a groove for cooperating with a protuberance in the cover member to guide the plunger along a predetermined, substantially linear path.

Flow amplifying pump apparatus

A fluidic connector comprises an independent adjunct to a pneumatic tool and is adapted to be fluidically interposed between an air supply hose and a fitting of the pneumatic tool. The connector comprises a piston-type valve member. Exhaust generated from each fastener firing operation or cycle maintains the piston-type valve member at a first position so as to permit the incoming air supply to reach the tool, however, if the tool is not fired within a predetermined period of time, the piston-type valve member is automatically moved to a second position which prevents the air supply from reaching the tool thereby disabling the same.
