A progressive cold forming machine and a robot for automatically changing a cutoff cassette, tooling cassettes, a transfer slide and transfer cam. A loading area adjacent the machine and robot has provisions for supporting a tooling cassette pallet and a transfer slide and camshaft pallet and a holding area for temporarily receiving some of the componentry being exchanged.

An impact cutoff device for a progressive high speed cold former having a low mass rigid cutter carriage, a torsion spring for carriage return, and an articulated, oil lubricated and dampened carriage drive block on a pivoting drive lever serving to reduce impact induced vibration otherwise leading to fatigue failure and wear of the various cutter parts and consequent loss of cutoff accuracy and quality.

A scrub deck assembly () comprises a scrub deck frame () and a pivot arm () having a first end () and a second end (). The pivot arm is rotatably coupled to the scrub deck frame at the first end, and a scrub brush (A) is operably coupled to the pivot arm at the second end. The scrub deck assembly further comprises a retraction mechanism () configured to allow movement of the pivot arm, relative to the scrub deck frame, about the first end. A release mechanism () is operably coupled to the retraction mechanism, and is configured to disengage the operation of the retraction mechanism.

Scrub deck retraction apparatus

A retainer clip for a squeegee assembly comprises top and bottom clip members each having an interior surface and an exterior surface. The interior surface of the top clip member includes a first channel portion adjacent to a first end and a first interlocking feature adjacent to a second end. The interior surface of the bottom clip member includes a second channel portion adjacent to a first end and a second interlocking feature adjacent to a second end. Mating the first interlocking feature with the second interlocking feature positions the first channel portion adjacent to the second channel portion to form a pin receiving channel.
