A modular display assembly for riflescopes and related methods are provided. In one example, a modular display assembly includes a housing, a control module, and a reflective element. The control module can be operably coupled to the housing and include a substrate and display. The display can be coupled to the substrate and configured to emit light onto the reflective element. At least a portion of the housing is configured to be removably inserted into the riflescope. The modular display assembly can include a user interface that receives user input. The user input can vary information displayed on the display and reflected from the reflective element. One or more alignment pins can engage the substrate and, when rotated, shift the position of the display relative to the reflective element.

Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to bolt extraction systems and barrel extension systems for rifles, such as bolt-action rifles. In one or more embodiments, the bolt extraction system includes a bolt and a barrel extension which provide extraction cams and extraction lugs to utilize a screw action while assisting in the removal of the bolt head and a spent cartridge from the barrel extension. In other embodiments, the barrel extension system includes a barrel extension and a firearm receiver with a clamp assembly. The barrel extension has a threaded hole which aligns with an attachment hole disposed on the firearm receiver. A fastener couples the barrel extension to the firearm receiver via the attachment hole and the threaded hole.

An adjustable support apparatus can include a first bracket, a second bracket, and a base coupled to the first bracket. The first and second brackets can be rotatable relative to the base and the second bracket can translate relative to the first bracket. In a first configuration, the first and second brackets can be adjacent one another to retain a device (e.g., a mount, a camera, binoculars, a firearm, etc.) to the adjustable support apparatus. In a second configuration, the first and second brackets can be rotated relative to the base and the second bracket can translate away from the first bracket to release the device from the adjustable support apparatus.

Adjustable support apparatuses

An adjustment assembly for riflescopes and related methods are provided. In one example, an adjustment assembly includes a knob configured to rotate about an axis, a disc having a trace, a first sensor configured to measure a value relating to a particular portion of the trace, and a second sensor configured to sense complete revolutions of the knob about the axis. The riflescope also includes a processor configured to correlate the value with an angular displacement of the knob about the axis relative to a zero point.

Riflescope adjustment systems and methods

A scope turret including a dial assembly that is configured to adjust point of aim optics of a scope is disclosed. The turret may include an adjustable stop assembly that prevents the dial assembly from rotating in one direction. The adjustable stop assembly may include a traveler, a nut assembly, and a bolt. The adjustable stop assembly may be internally-adjustable or externally-adjustable. The dial assembly may include an engagement mechanism. The engagement mechanism may include a button that is slidable between an engaged position and a disengaged position of the engagement mechanism. The turret may further include a locking mechanism that selectively prevents the dial assembly from rotating in any direction.

A riflescope, a magnification ring for a riflescope and related methods are set forth herein. In one embodiment, a riflescope includes a main tube having an optical axis, an eyepiece, and a magnification ring associated with the eyepiece, the magnification ring being rotatable about the optical axis. In one embodiment, the magnification ring includes a collar rotatably coupled with the main tube and a rotatable ring disposed at least partially about the collar and being selectively positionable relative to the collar at a plurality of user-selected positions. The rotatable ring is releasably fixed to the collar at any of the plurality of user-selected positions. The rotatable ring also includes a protrusion extending radially from an outer surface of the rotatable ring.

A scope may include an adjustment dial, which may be moved among a plurality of positions to configure the scope to compensate for projectile drops. The adjustment dial may be labeled with dial-calibration data, which may include one or more distance indicators and/or one or more windage hold-off indicators. The scope may be attached to a gun, bow or crossbow and the dial-calibration data may be at least partially generated using ballistics performance data based on shots, bullets, arrows or bolts fired by the gun, bow or crossbow. The dial-calibration data may be at least partially generated using shooting conditions. A system and method for generating customized adjustment dials can incorporate ballistics, projectile, and/or shooting conditions into program. The system and method can also include a derived distance calculation module, which may be configured to use a distance to a target and actual shooting conditions to calculate a derived distance.

A gun scope is provided having a battery compartment. The battery compartment may be configured to house one or more batteries to provide electronic power to one or more electronic components associated with the gun scope. The battery compartment is associated with a rotatable component, such as a magnifying ring, and configured to rotate with the rotatable component about an axis. In one embodiment, the battery component may be integrally formed with the rotatable component. In another embodiment, the battery component may be formed as a separate component and coupled with the rotatable component. The battery compartment extends radially outward from the rotatable component and provides a lever for rotation of the rotatable component about its axis of rotation.

A scope may include an adjustment dial, which may be moved among a plurality of positions to configure the scope to compensate for projectile drops. The adjustment dial may be labeled with dial-calibration data, which may include one or more distance indicators and/or one or more windage hold-off indicators. The scope may be attached to a gun and the dial-calibration data may be at least partially generated using ballistics performance data based on shots fired by the gun. An electronic device may include a derived distance calculation module, which may be configured to use a distance to a target and actual shooting conditions to calculate a derived distance. The derived distance may be used in connection with an adjustment dial labeled with dial-calibration data at least partially generated using shooting conditions different from the actual shooting conditions.
