A connector for medical fluid vessels includes a fluid-seal fitting such as a male plug defining a lumen and mating with a cooperating connector, a mechanical fastener such as a screw thread for mating with the cooperating connector, and an outer housing positioned around the plug to form an annular space. A cap can be provided with a fluid-seal fitting such as a male plug for mating with the lumen of the connector. In example embodiments, the male plug is tapered and can comprise one or more projections for sealingly engaging with the lumen of the connector. According to some example embodiments, the cap can be tethered to the connector.

An enteral dosing control coupling comprising a cylindrical collar defining a hollow internal chamber and a lumen extension tip projecting axially into the internal chamber, the lumen extension tip defining an internal lumen extending through the lumen extension tip. In example forms, the lumen extension tip is integrally formed with the cylindrical collar. In other example forms, the lumen extension tip is a separate piece and is removably engageable within the cylindrical collar.

Dosing control coupling for enteral fluid transfer

A container for collecting, storing and dispensing fluid, as in enteral feeding and/or medication deliver to neonatal infants. The container includes a hollow tube with a body, a first end, a second end, and an outer diameter. The hollow tube is configured to receive a movable plunger that advances and retracts therein to define a variable contained volume. The container also includes a sealing head assembly removably mounted at an end of the hollow tube. The sealing head assembly has a diameter or outside dimension that is substantially similar or identical to a corresponding outside diameter or dimension of the hollow tube, so that the container lies flat within the receiver of an enteral feeding pump.

In example embodiments, the coupling includes a centrally-positioned hub extending from a first end to a second end, and a fluid delivery conduit provided within the hub and extending between the first and second ends. In example forms, each end of the hub includes a male tip.

A cleaning device for cleaning a connector comprising a lumen and an inner threaded surface. The cleaning device includes a cleaning body and a plunger body operably coupled to each other. The cleaning body includes a plurality of elongated cleaning swabs positioned separately apart from and in parallel to each other. The plurality of elongated cleaning swabs are operably rotatable about a connector lumen and in removable engagement with a connector inner threaded surface. The plunger body includes an elongated plug to removably engage the connector lumen. The cleaning body and the plunger body are translatably coupled along a common operational axis. The cleaning body and the plunger body are rotatably coupled with respect to each other about the common operational axis. The cleaning body is an integral structure.

The device includes a generally elongate cylindrical tubular swab body, and a channel formed at an end thereof to define at least one cleaning finger for insertion into a housing and/or port of the connector to remove residual fluids, clean and disinfect the connector. The cleaning device optionally further includes a guide stem or plunger configured to extend through the tubular body of the swab, having a plug at one end for sealing debris out of a lumen of the connector during cleaning.
