Connectors that provide a large number of connections between a flexible circuit board and a printed circuit board, can easily and securely connect the flexible circuit board to the printed circuit board, are readily manufactured, and can be used in an assembly of an electronic device without excessive warpage.

Connector having contact array

Connectors that may be used to connect optional or daughter cards or modules to main logic boards or motherboards in electronic devices. These connectors may have a reduced effective height and may be able to support high data rates. Cards in these connectors may be secured in place in an electronic device to avoid being inadvertently dislodged. The connectors may accept a card such as a solid state drive, memory card, subscriber identification module, or other type of card. Examples may also provide cards to be inserted in the connectors and boards to support the connectors.

Low-profile SSD connector

Non-rectangular or rectangular interposers for space efficient, reliable to manufacture, high speed interconnections between two printed circuit boards, such as a motherboard and a mating board. One example provides space efficiency with a non-rectangular interposer, where the interposer may be at least approximately circular. Reliable manufacturing may be provided by the inclusion of one or more openings to accept one or more alignment features. In one example, a first opening is provided to accept a threaded boss, which may be used to fasten the two printed circuit boards and interposer together. In another example, a second opening may be provided to accept an alignment post, wherein the post aligns the interposer to the two printed circuit boards. Contacts may be provided on each side to mate with contacts on each of the two printed circuit boards.

Interposer connectors with alignment features

Bus bar or power connector connections that are reliable and provide a reduced connection impedance. One example may provide a reliable connection by providing a spring plate. The spring plate may be arranged to hold a bus bar or other power conductor to a printed circuit board. The spring plate may further include an opening for a fastener, where the fastener is used to secure the bus bar to the printed circuit board. In this way, the spring plate may secure the bus bar to the printed circuit board in the event that the fastener is loosened or missing, thereby increasing the reliability of the bus bar connection. Further, the spring plate may provide an additional current path, thereby reducing the impedance of the bus bar connection.
