A portable, personal therapy chamber for provision of radiation therapy. The therapy chamber includes a pair of telescopically positionable units that are lightweight and easily portable by a single user. The therapy chamber is configured for use by a single person lying generally prone on a surface. The units are formed from a plurality of pivotably coupled panels that are foldable in a first direction to a rolled up, tube-like storage configuration and unfoldable in a second direction to an arched formation or use configuration. The units, in the use configuration, are disposed to overlie the user and include a plurality of emitters that direct infrared energy toward the user's body.

An infrared radiant panel is formed by overlaid substrates having conductors thereon which are electrically activated to generate heat to cause infrared radiation of desired wavelengths. The conductors are arranged to cancel magnetic fields caused by current flow therethrough. A conductive shield further suppresses fields generated by the panel.

A sauna having heating and lighting elements includes control circuitry which links the sauna to a remote server. The remote server provides information and media files for presentation to a user and collects and stores user profile and usage information. Multiple saunas are be linked into a network or global infrastructure so that a user's profile and usage information follow the user to any sauna connected to the network. Collected data can be used by users to track individual usage and performance metrices, and by service providers to analyze usage data and information for operational and marketing purposes.

Sauna system with communication, networking, and global infrastructure

Systems and methods are provided for controlling infrared radiation (IR) sources of a sauna including tuning IR wavelength-ranges and radiated power-levels of IR sources, and directing IR to locations on a user's body. In one illustrative embodiment, a sauna may be provided having adjustable IR emitters to emit IR at any wavelength resulting in a desirable radiation treatment for the sauna user. In another illustrative embodiment, a method is provided for tuning IR emitters in a sauna.

Dynamic sauna

Modular infrared heater units for a sauna and methods for constructing a sauna. The infrared heater units include one or more heating elements disposed in a housing. The housing is configured for direct mounting on walls of a structure and includes a pigtail for coupling to a controller. The housing is dimensioned to accommodate a paneling or other cladding on the walls and includes a trim frame that obscures edges of the cladding adjacent to the heater unit. Construction of a sauna unit includes mounting of a plurality of the heater units on walls of the structure; electrically communicably coupling the heater units to a controller; and providing any desired cladding to the interior of the structure.

Modular sauna heater and method for constructing a sauna

A sauna having a video display device, a loud speaker device, lighting elements, an aromatherapy device, and a user interface device, and includes control circuitry which links the sauna to a remote server. The therapy chamber is configured for use by a single person lying generally prone on a surface. The cabins are disposed to overlie the user and include a plurality of infrared radiation elements that direct infrared energy toward the user's body. When using the therapy chamber, the user's head extends from an open end of the cabin. A facial treatment fixture is integrated with the cabin to be extendable longitudinally from a terminal end thereof and to overlie the user's face/head. The therapy chamber can be configured to provide mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy in addition to infrared therapy.

Personal portable therapy chamber

A personal sauna unit with an integrated chromotherapy unit. The sauna unit is configured for use by a single person lying generally prone on a surface. The sauna unit includes a cabin that is disposed to overlie the user and that includes a plurality of infrared heating elements that direct infrared energy toward the user's body. When using the sauna unit, the user's head extends from an open end of the cabin. A chromotherapy light unit is integrated with the cabin to extend along the perimeter of the open end of the cabin and to direct a selected spectrum of visible light toward the user's face for therapy. A pad with additional heating elements may be provided beneath the cabin to provide additional heating and comfort to the user. A control unit is provided to control the heating elements and the light element during a sauna session.

Personal sauna unit with integrated chromotherapy lighting

Systems and methods are provided for controlling infrared radiation (IR) sources of a sauna including tuning IR wavelength-ranges and radiated power-levels of IR sources, and directing IR to locations on a user's body. In one illustrative embodiment, a sauna may be provided having adjustable heat sources to emit IR at any wavelength resulting in a desirable radiation treatment for the sauna user. In another illustrative embodiment, a method is provided for tuning IR sources in a sauna.

A high emissivity coating applied to a sauna heating element and a method for fabricating a sauna heating element with a high emissivity coating is described. In one illustrative embodiment, a sauna heating element comprises a substrate, and a film coating applied to the substrate, the film coating applied as a first liquid layer and a second powder layer. In another illustrative embodiment, a process is provided for fabricating a sauna heating element with a high emissivity coating.
