A semiautomatic shotgun comprising a receiver, a barrel, a forward gas block assembly attached to the barrel, a slider assembly rearward of the gas block assembly extending into the receiver. Upon firing a shotshell the explosive gases in the barrel are diverted through two ports into the gas block assembly, specifically into a pair of lateral pressure relief valves positioned on both sides of the barrel. The pressure relief valves further having a gas pathway to a piston chamber. A piston is forced rearwardly and engages a slider of the slider assembly that is linked to a breech block in the receiver. The breech block loads unfired shells and ejects the fired shells accomplishing the semiautomatic recycling. The dual pressure relief valves actuate to moderate and limit the gas pressure that enters the piston chamber when using shotshells of different power levels thereby providing consistency in the recycling operation.

Semi-automatic shotgun and components thereof

The pressure relief valves further having a gas pathway from the barrel provided by clusters of holes less than a specific size and on-center with the barrel axis. A piston is forced rearwardly and engages a slider of the slider assembly that is linked to a breech block in the receiver. The breech block loads unfired shells and ejects the fired shells accomplishing the semiautomatic recycling. The dual pressure relief valves actuate to moderate and limit the gas pressure that enters the piston chamber when using shotshells of different power levels thereby providing consistency in the recycling operation. The shotgun assembled with a plurality of retention pins having uniformly sized O-rings.

A bolt-on air chamber that increases the volume of air stored inside a paintball gun. The increased volume of air allows the use of low pressure/high volume valves in the gun. The bolt-on air chamber also holds the gun together.

Paintball gun air reservoir

A valve, especially for use in a paintball gun which includes a pressure chamber bore for receiving gas from a source, an exhaust bore which leads to a barrel, and a valve chamber bore between the pressure chamber bore and exhaust bore. The valve includes a body mounted in the valve chamber bore with a flow path between the pressure chamber and exhaust bores, and a cupseal seat on the upstream side of the flow path. A valve stem passes through a portion of the flow path and is slidably supported by a support nose, and presents an actuation surface at one end, and supports a cupseal to mate with the seat at the other end. The cupseal has radial guide legs to closely and slidably contact the pressure chamber bore to aid alignment. The cupseal will normally be held against the seat by gas pressure and/or a spring; to open the valve, the gun may be provided with a hammer which is released to strike the actuation surface of the valve stem, to unseat the cupseal and allow gas to flow into the barrel.
