A nozzle is provided herein for ophthalmic dispensers which is configured to accommodate microdosing. The nozzle includes a converging pathway. Preferably, the pathway converges so as to impart momentum to liquid passing therethrough through an increase of velocity. A tapered portion may be provided flared openly from the inlet to best accept liquid flow thereinto and provide a funneling effect into the flowpath. Preferably, the flowpath terminates at an outlet which is internally un-radiused and circumscribed by a chamfered surface.

Disclosed is a cold brew coffee maker and related methods of making cold brew coffee. The cold brew coffee maker can include a rotation assembly, a brew chamber, and a strainer/stirrer assembly. The strainer/stirrer assembly is adapted to be insertable into the brew chamber. The strainer/stirrer assembly having a first and second impeller that are located at a bottom portion of the strainer/stirrer assembly, the first impeller being located externally to the strainer/stirrer assembly and the second impeller located within a chamber formed by the strainer/stirrer assembly. The brew chamber portion of the cold brew coffee maker being filled partially with water, the strainer/stirrer assembly placed into the brew chamber and the brew chamber placed atop the rotation assembly. Ground coffee is added to the chamber located within the strainer/stirrer assembly and the rotation assembly is energized such that the first and second impellers cause the ground coffee and water to be mixed until a desired amount of coffee flavor is imparted upon the water by the ground coffee.

Cold brew coffee apparatus

Disclosed is a cold brew coffee maker and related methods of making cold brew coffee. The cold brew coffee maker can include a rotation plate assembly, a removable cup, a brew chamber and a filtration assembly. The rotation plate assembly can include an internal magnetic component for generating rotational movement of a selectively attachable component of the cup. The removable cup can include a detachable impeller and removable plate. In other embodiments, the impeller may be non-removably affixed to the cup. The impeller can engage with the rotation plate assembly by a magnetic connection. In the 'on' mode, the impeller engages with the rotational plate assembly and internal magnetic component, allowing for rotational movement of the impeller. In the 'off' mode, the impeller and magnetic component are freely moveable and able to disengage, allowing for easy separation of all assembly components for cleaning or replacement.

An intraocular lens (IOL) insertion apparatus may include a handpiece body having a distal tip and a deployment chamber located at a distal end of the handpiece body. The deployment chamber is sized and shaped to hold a folded IOL. The IOL insertion apparatus further includes a deployment system disposed within the handpiece body. The deployment system may include a deployment carriage movable between a first position and a second position within the handpiece body. The deployment carriage may include a biasing element that biases the deployment carriage in a distal direction toward the distal tip. The deployment system may further include a deployment trigger that prevents distal movement of the deployment carriage unless pressed and a deployment plunger having a proximal end secured to the deployment carriage and a distal end to engage the folded IOL.
