A method for graphical representation of a train of ECG complexes having an R wave and a T-P interval and having variable isoelectric baselines. The method involves aligning the complexes in terms of signal amplitude by obtaining a baseline, thereby to provide a graphical representation of said train of ECG complexes; and aligning said complexes temporally using corresponding predetermined points.

Analysis of electrocardiogram signals

Apparatus for graphical representation of a train of ECG complexes each including an R wave and a T-P interval and having variable isoelectric levels. The apparatus includes an isoelectric alignment unit for aligning the complexes in terms of isoelectric level by aligning respective T-P intervals, thereby to provide a graphical representation of the train of ECG complexes; and a temporal alignment unit for aligning the complexes temporally using a selected point on the respective R waves. The aligned units are superimposed to provide a distribution of a normalized ECG signal over a series of pulses or heartbeats.

Apparatus () for generating a localized magnetic field inside a body of a living subject () includes first and second electromagnets (), adapted to be positioned in proximity to the body so as to apply magnetic fields thereto. The core () of at least one of the electromagnets has a shape that can be altered under control of an operator of the apparatus so as to adjust the magnetic fields to assume a desired relation within the body.
