To determine impairment due to drugs or alcohol, an image capture component captures video of at least a head of a test subject. Cropped head images of the head of the test subject are extracted from sequential images of the video. For each cropped head image, a gaze angle of the test subject is determined from the cropped head image. The determined gaze angles are analyzed to determine horizontal nystagmus and/or angle of onset of nystagmus. A level of impairment of the test subject is determined from the horizontal nystagmus and/or angle of onset of nystagmus. A visual representation of the level of impairment of the test subject is generated on an associated display.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are destroyed by oxidation in supercritical conditions. PFAS in water can be concentrated and prepared for destruction in a pretreatment phase. Following annihilation of the PFAS in supercritical conditions to levels below 5 parts per trillion (ppt), the water effluent can be used to recover heat, returned to sub-critical conditions, and then released back into the environment.

The present disclosure relates generally to a system and method for detecting or indicating a state of impairment of a test subject or user due to drugs or alcohol, and more particularly to a method, system and application or software program configured to creating a virtual-reality ('VR') environment that implements drug and alcohol impairment tests, and which utilizes eye tracking technology to detect or indicate impairment.
