Disclosed are various embodiments for developing versions of applications based on application fingerprinting. For example, an application may be ported from one operating system platform to another, or an application may be modified to be compatible with a specific device. In one embodiment, an application fingerprint is received for an application. The application fingerprint may be generated based at least in part on a static analysis of the application and a dynamic analysis of the application. A device that is incompatible with the application based at least in part on the application fingerprint may be determined. A modification to the application to make the application compatible with the device may be determined.

Developing versions of applications based on application fingerprinting

In various embodiments, static, dynamic, and behavioral analyzes may be performed on an application. A set of software libraries employed by the application may be determined. A set of device resources employed by the application may be determined. An application fingerprint is generated for the application. The application fingerprint encodes identifiers for the set of software libraries and identifiers for the set of device resources. Improvements can be recommended based upon an analysis of the application fingerprint.

Recommending improvements to and detecting defects within applications

Disclosed are various embodiments for selection of wireless devices and service plans. A geographic location and a plurality of wireless preferences are associated with a user. Wireless service plans, offered by at least one wireless carrier that services the geographic location, that meet the wireless preferences associated with the user are determined. A user interface is generated that presents the wireless service plans in a ranked order that is determined utilizing at least the wireless preferences.

A target geographic location is obtained from a client. A network page is generated including one or more maps showing a region encompassing the target geographic location. The maps indicate an aggregate customer rating for one or more of the wireless carriers for the region. The aggregate customer rating is determined based at least in part on a subset of the customer ratings that are associated with geographic locations that are encompassed by the region.

Disclosed are various embodiments for providing dynamic item pricing to a customer during online shopping and/or purchasing of wireless devices. In a representative embodiment, a dynamic pricing system is executed in a computing device that generates a network page to send to a client device over a network, the network page including a price for a specified wireless device. The dynamic pricing system communicates with the client device over the network to obtain a selected service plan associated with the specified wireless device. The dynamic pricing system determines an updated price for the specified wireless device in response to the selected service plan for access by the customer.
