A circuit comprising a first capacitor configured to be charged to a voltage representing state information of a compensator, a second capacitor, a buffer circuit configured to charge the second capacitor to a voltage substantially equal to that of the first capacitor and a switching network configured to transition between a first state and a second state. When the switching network is in the first state, the second capacitor is charged to the voltage across the first capacitor. When the switching network is in the second state, the buffer circuit is disconnected from the second capacitor and the first capacitor and the second capacitor are connected in parallel.

Variable controller and associated control methods

A circuit configured to receive a first and second voltages and generate an output voltage, the circuit comprising: a first capacitor configured to charge to a voltage equal a difference between the first voltage and the output voltage; a second capacitor configured to charge to a voltage equal to a difference between the first voltage and the second voltage; and a plurality of conductive paths coupled to the first and second capacitors. In a first state, the conductive paths are configured to cause the second capacitor to charge to the voltage equal to the difference between the first voltage and the second voltage. In a second state, the conductive paths are configured to cause the second capacitor to be connected in parallel with the first capacitor to cause the first capacitor to charge to the voltage equal to the difference between the first voltage and the output voltage.

Described embodiments provide a magnetic field sensor that includes first and second spaced magnetic field sensing elements that each generate a signal indicative of a magnetic field associated with a target. A switching module couples a first terminal of the first magnetic field sensing element having a first polarity to a first terminal of the second magnetic field sensing element having a polarity opposite the first polarity to generate a first combined signal. The switching module couples a second terminal of the first magnetic field sensing element having a polarity opposite the first polarity to a second terminal of the second magnetic field sensing element having the first polarity to generate a second combined signal. The switching module simultaneously couples the first and the second combined signals to an amplifier, which generates an output signal indicative of the magnetic field that has stray magnetic field effects cancelled.

A sensor integrated circuit includes a disturb immune memory configured to store data and a digital processor coupled to the disturb immune memory and including a main register. The digital processor is configured to perform one of a fast reset or slow reset of the main register according to a level of a supply voltage to the integrated circuit. The fast reset includes resetting the main register according to the data stored in the disturb immune memory and the slow reset includes resetting the main register according to a default state.

A logic circuit determines if an error is present.

A lighter holder attachment accessory for a water pipe includes an attachment component in the form of an elongated elastic strap of a rectangular configuration and adapted to snugly fit around and thereby securely attach to any diameter size of a tubular stem of the water pipe. The accessory also includes a holder component in the form of a continuous tubular sidewall being closed at a bottom end and open at a top end so as to form an interior compartment for receiving a pocket lighter therein. The holder component also includes an exterior attachment strip on the tubular sidewall such that with the pocket lighter received therein is detachably attachable to the elongated strap of the attachment component and may be temporarily detached therefrom so as to enable the lighter to be used without being removed from the interior compartment of the holder component.

A bandgap reference circuit includes a voltage reference circuit configured to generate a reference voltage at a first output and a proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) current source configured to generate a PTAT current reference at a second output. A divider circuit is coupled to the reference voltage and configured to generate a divided reference voltage at a third output of the bandgap reference circuit. The bandgap reference circuit further includes a tunable current source coupled to the divider circuit and configured to generate a tunable current reference at a fourth output of the bandgap reference circuit based, at least in part, on the divider circuit. A method of generating a tunable current with a bandgap circuit is also provided.

An electronic circuit can be disposed upon a semiconductor substrate. An epitaxial layer can be disposed over the semiconductor substrate. The electronic circuit can include a Hall effect element, at least a portion of the Hall effect element disposed in the epitaxial layer. The electronic circuit can further include a current generator configured to generate a drive current that passes through the Hall effect element. The current generator can include a resistor disposed in the epitaxial layer and having characteristics such that a resistance of the resistor can vary with a stress of the semiconductor substrate, resulting in changes of the drive current, to compensate for variations in the sensitivity of the Hall effect element with the stress of the substrate.

A trimmable oscillator generates a master clock signal for use by an output protocol processor to provide the sensor output signal. A fault test clock signal generator is responsive to the master clock signal and to a test trigger signal for generating the test clock signal having a launch pulse and a capture pulse, each having edges substantially coincident with like edges of pulses of the master clock signal and a spacing between launch and capture pulses established by the trimmable master clock signal.

A method for mixing fluids and/or solids in a manner that can be varied from maintaining the integrity of fragile molecular and biological materials in the mixing vessel to homogenizing heavy aggregate material by supplying large amounts of energy. Variation in the manner of mixing is accomplished using an electronic controller to generate signals to control the frequency and amplitude of the motor(s), which drive an unbalanced shaft assembly to produce a linear vibratory motion. The motor may be a stepper motor, a linear motor or a DC continuous motor. By placing a sensor on the mixing vessel platform to provide feedback control of the mixing motor, the characteristics of agitation in the fluid or solid can be adjusted to optimize the degree of mixing and produce a high quality mixant.
