An image capture system includes: a first mobile unit configured to move around the target area; a second mobile unit adjustably coupled to the first mobile unit; a dual-camera unit, operatively coupled to the second mobile unit, including: a first camera to capture structural data; and a second camera to capture color data, wherein the first mobile unit and the second mobile unit are configured to move the first camera and the second camera.

Multi-camera image capture system

A dual-camera image capture system may include a first light source, disposed above a target area, a first mobile unit, configured to rotate around the target area, and a second mobile unit, operatively coupled to the first mobile unit, configured to move vertically along the first mobile unit. The dual-camera image capture system may further include a second light source, operatively coupled to the second mobile unit and a dual-camera unit, operatively coupled to the second mobile unit. The dual-camera image capture system may include a first camera configured to capture structural data and a second camera configured to capture color data. The first mobile unit and the second mobile unit may be configured to move the first camera and the second camera to face the target area in a variety of positions around the target area.

A motion capture glove may use a set of sensors to detect the motion of fingers. Pairs of magnets and magnetic sensors may be positioned along portions of a hand that are capable of movement or bending. For example, a magnet may be positioned on one side of a top of the joint and a magnetic sensor on the opposite side of the top of the joint. As a user bends the finger, the sensor is moved further away from the magnet. An electrical signal generated by the sensor may vary as the distance between the sensor and the magnet varies. The strength of the electrical signal may be used to determine a configuration of the joint. A determination of the configuration of each joint may be used to determine a configuration of a hand, which can be used to generate an animation of motion capture clip.

An example method of generating three-dimensional objects based on two-dimensional images of at least part of the object may include: receiving, from a mobile computing device, a notification indicating that a plurality of images depicting an object have been uploaded to a first storage location; transmitting, to a rendering application, a rendering request specifying the first storage location; receiving, from the rendering application, a rendering response indicating that a polygonal mesh representing the images of the object has been stored at a second storage location; transmitting, to an interactive video gaming device, a notification of comprising an identifier of the third second storage location; and making a file comprising the polygonal mesh available for download by the interactive video gaming device.

Producing three-dimensional representation based on images of an object

An example method of generating three-dimensional visual objects representing a person based on two-dimensional images of at least a part of the person's body may include receiving a first polygonal mesh representing a human body part, wherein the first polygonal mesh is compliant with a target application topology. The example method may further include receiving a second polygonal mesh representing the human body part, wherein the second polygonal mesh is derived from a plurality of images of a person. The example method may further include modifying at least one of the first polygonal mesh or the second polygonal mesh to optimize a value of a metric reflecting a difference between the first polygonal mesh and the second polygonal mesh.

Producing three-dimensional representation based on images of a person

An example method of generating three-dimensional objects based on two-dimensional images of at least part of the object may include receiving a rendering transaction request. The method may further include transmitting, to the requestor, a rendering transaction response identifying a first storage location. The method may further include receiving, from the requestor, a notification indicating that images depicting an object have been uploaded to the first storage location. The method may further include transmitting, to a rendering application, a rendering request. The method may further include receiving, from the rendering application, a rendering response indicating that a polygonal mesh representing the images has been stored at a second storage location. The method may further include producing, using the polygonal mesh, a preview image and storing the preview image at a third storage location. The method may further include transmitting, to the requestor, a notification of completion of the rendering transaction.
