Devices and techniques are generally described for an edge computing system. In various examples, the edge computing system may comprise a host kernel comprising a kernel-based virtual machine hypervisor. In some examples, the edge computing system may comprise virtualization software effective to communicate with the kernel-based virtual machine hypervisor to execute guest virtual machines. In various further examples, the edge computing system may comprise an engine virtual machine with access to at least one hardware component. The edge computing system may further comprise a control plane virtual machine. The control plane virtual machine may include components effective to receive a first request and determine an application corresponding to the first request, and a virtual machine manager effective to control the virtualization software to generate a virtual machine, configured in accordance with a configuration specific for the virtual machine, for executing the application.

Edge computing system

Devices and methods are provided for out-of-home transmissions for digital video recorders. The device may receive, at a first port of the device, a first packet from a second device using a peer-to-peer (P2P) connection between the device and a second device, first packet including a first session identifier associated with a first socket based on the first port and a second port of the second device. The device may receive a second packet from the second device using the P2P connection, the second packet including a second session identifier. The device may determine a second socket based on the second session identifier, the second socket based on the first port and a third port of the second device. The device may send a third packet using the second socket, the third packet including the second session identifier.

Out-of-home transmissions for digital video recorder

A mobile device processor unit enables a remotely-located user to interact with a user interface associated with a complete mobile device on a computer supporting the user, where the interface is presented based on execution of functionality of the complete mobile device on a limited selection of components of the complete mobile device. The limited selection of components is included in a mobile device processor unit. The processor unit can be installed in a slot space of a support chassis to structurally support the limited selection of components and to couple the processor unit with a connector to communicatively couple the components with the remote user via a communication network.
